I wasn't sure what I was going to say to Ares when I got the mysterious street but I knew I had to go and get some answers. From the moment this boy has come into my life I have started making risky choices and that isn't something I do. I thought about him for a moment longer before turning down the street and shutting off the engine.

The street was much brighter at night making me wonder once again why I hadn't noticed it in town before. The little shops seemed to come alive with the warm glow of lights burning from inside. There was a few people scattered around in the shops they seemed to be lurking in the shadows hiding behind whatever was in the store.

As I wonder down the little street I was intrigued by all of the lights and people which caused me to wonder why I never noticed it all before. I mean the good girl part of me understands why I never ventured down this little street but the curious part of me is mentally yelling at me. I continued down the street wondering where my mystery man would be and feeling a little stupid for thinking this was a good idea.

I waited in a small coffee/art/reading store consumed by the lively colors and music playing around me as I read a book while waiting for my mystery man to appear. As the time dragged on and people slowly began to leave I started losing faith in Ares showing up but just as I was grabbing my bag to go someone grabbed my shoulder.

"You're late." I said as I sat back down at my table.

"I got caught up at work." Ares said sheepishly before sitting down across from me.

"I took a chance coming here to meet a complete stranger so I would really appreciate it if you didn't arrive late next time." I said quickly.

"Next time? My my Alessandra I didn't know you liked me that much to want to hang out with me again." Ares said cockily.

"I didn't mean it like that. And that's another thing I want to talk about. How do you know my name and why did you lure me here?" I asked while leaning forward.

"Well first of all my dear everyone knows your name. Your father is Xander White a famous lawyer. But that's not how I know. No, I know you from long ago Allie." Ares said pausing before continuing. "I was sent to watch over you." Ares said simply.

I stared at Ares for a minute or two wondering what he meant by that. I assume he could see the confusion written across my face because he's smile widen in a flattering but slightly creepy way. I contemplated just grabbing my bag and leaving but I vowed to find out why he wanted me here and that's what I was going to be.

"I'm just messing with you Allie. Relax I saw you in the coffee shop and you looked beautiful. I wanted to meet you and I figure the only way to get a pretty girl like you here was to draw you in." He said simply.

There was something about the way he made every word he said seem so casual and calm taking my breath away with every word he uttered. I was so entranced by his icy blue eyes and the way he said my name in that husky voice that I forgot how to even speak.

"Um, yeah, um what?" I manged to get out while quickly looking away.

"I said you are beautiful and I want to get to know you." Ares said while putting his hand under my chin and lifting my head so I could look at him.

I blushed before quietly mumbling "So you were just messing with me this whole time?"

"I needed to get your attention somehow." He said while smirking.

"Well you could of just introduced yourself to me you know." I said while rolling my eyes and leaning back in my chair.

"A girl as beautiful as you would have just brushed me off but now you are intrigued with finding out more about me. Girls love a mystery you can't deny that Alessandra."

Chills ran up my spine as he said my name once again. I loved the way it flowed off his tongue and I have to admit he's right about the whole mystery thing. Mysterious is such an attractive quality and boy does he have it.

"Trust me I would have been interested in you whether or not you lured me here and used the whole mysterious thing." I said while crossing my arms.

"Oh is that so?" Ares said while cocking his eyebrow up.

"As a matter of fact it is. I know everyone in this boring little town and I have not seen you around once which means either you're new around here or you live under a rock so which is it?" I asked.

"Well I guess you caught me." He said shrugging his shoulders.

"What does that mean?" I asked while leaning closer.

"I guess you'll have to find out next time because I have to go." Ares said while grabbing his jacket off the back of his chair.

I watched as he slipped his jacket on and paid the waitress for our coffee before slowly turning away and stopping at the door. I tried to think of something to say anything to make him stay but nothing came out. He winked at me before disappearing out the door and down the dark street.

I sighed and leaned back in my chair mentally slapping myself for not calling out to him and making him stay. After about a minute or two had passed I got up from my chair and began walking to my car. On my way to my car I couldn't help but think about everything Ares said. I came here to find answers to my questions and now i'm left with more questions.
