Chapter Ten.

The next morning Ella stretched her hand out to the other side to feel for Jim but frowned when she felt an empty bed. She sat up and looked around her silent and empty room. No Jim. She looked down and sighed knowing he would have left. She got up and wondered off to the kitchen to turn the heating on. "Morning beautiful" Jim smiled as she came and stood in the doorway. His shirt half unbuttoned his suit pants no longer ironed and straight and his hair was a mess.... A sexy mess. She turned around and looked at him a bit speechless as her cheeks heated up. "Are you not a morning person?" He chuckled and came over to her. "Umm sorry I just didn't expect you to be here" she said moving behind the counter top to hide her exposed legs in her shorts. "Well I have something I want to ask you" he said sitting down and looking across the counter at her seriously which made her tense up a bit. "I want you to move in with me" he said simply which just made her laugh a little "move in... With you? ... I hardly know you, isn't that was couples do after years of knowing each other?" He didn't seem too amused at her laugh and got up slowly walking over to her "I know what I want and I intend to get it. So, will you move in with me" his voice deep and demanding as if he wasn't asking it was an order to be followed. "I .... I need to think about it" she said stepping back a little making Jims facial expressions soften. "I'm sorry.... You don't understand yet ... But you will you just need to trust me and come with me I don't want you left on your own, I want to protect you" he smiled and gently cupped her cheek.
