Mackenna's POV
What the hell? Carlee is moving? Why would her parents spring something like that on us? Why are they even moving? Is it because of what happened with Dustin?
I was so lost in my own thoughts, that I didn't even hear everybody bickering about their own.
"No! She is not moving. I need her! She's like my little sister!" "I'm not moving! Then I'd have to go to another school! And I am not going to prom alone!" "Why?" "No!" "I don't know what to tell you guys. I know you'll miss her, but we're just noticing how bad this city is for her." "I don't want my daughter around all of this." "No! My mascara is running now!"
I screamed in frustration which caused everyone to shut up and avert their eyes on me.
"Can you all just please be quiet?! I know this is hard, but it isn't one of our biggest problems! So calm your tits because we all know she isn't moving!" I said, my voice raising a tiny bit...Ok maybe a lot.
I stormed out of the room before anyone could say anything. "We all are still hanging out for the rest of the day!" I yelled just before I walked out of the door.
I may be a little off today for me not to be rolling on the ground in tears of what I just heard. I mean, My best friend/ Sister/ Ride or Die/ Main/ Day One is moving!
Too much stuff is happening in one week. I mean, I was almost rapped yesterday, my best friend/ sister/ ride or die/ main/ day one was almost sexually abused, my boyfriend met his long gone father, DeShawn was shot and Jamal is still waiting for us at the café! Though that doesn't even seem like a problem... but still! Too much has happened for me.
I sighed. I'm so done right now... My eyes wondered around the empty hall way. I then remembered why I'm still standing here. Why are they taking so long??
Just as I was about to call my "boyfriend's" name, he stepped into the hall with the rest of the crew following behind.
"Finally!" I sighed.
"Sorry babe." Kenneth whispered in my ear as he hugged me. It's like he always knows what I need.
We pulled away from our hug and noticed that everybody were walking ahead of us, already about to step into the elevator.
"Wait!" Kenneth shouted and grabbed my hand to try and make a run for the elevator.
"Well we weren't gonna leave you guys. Especially not Mackenna." Carlee joked.
"We all know you have a secret love for me. You just don't wanna show it because you try to look tough to protect Mackenna but you just don't understand that I have everything under control." Kenneth came back, smirking cockily.
"Oh really?" Carlee said with an equally as wide smirk as Kenneth.
"Yup. You can't fight it forever." He said, emphasizing forever to make it seem like a long time.
I laughed at the two. They both know they love each other like brother and sister. But I don't think all of us do...
I looked over at DeShawn who was staring intensely at Carlee. I smiled evily. I'm gonna have to put my skills to work soon... but not now.
I just wanna enjoy my friends while everything's ok and we don't have to face reality right now.
I just want to be able to laugh and hang out with my best friends while I can and not have a care in the world.
Who would have known a group like us would have became friends?I'm gonna really miss them when we all have to go to college and move on with our lives.
But I know one thing's for sure.
There's no place like us.
