Mount Justice
August 8th

"Hello Megan! We should hit the beach every day." Megan said as she ran onto the sandy shore of mount Justice in her yellow bathing suit followed by Calder, Robin and Superboy in their own bathing suits. Robin touched his head, "First a moment of silence for our absent comrades." He said. "Poor Wally." Megan agreed. "I feel bad for Kaewa." Superboy agreed disappointed that she couldn't make it.

Central City
August 8th

"Welcome class to the first day of Soft more Year." The Geography teacher Mr. Carter's sleepy voice said. Kaewa and Wally sunk in their seats and Kaewa dropped her head to the table banging it in disappointment. While the rest of their team was having a day out on the beach they were stuck with a day in with the teach. While their team mates were cannonballing in the water they were getting sprayed on by the water dispenser. While the team was enjoying juicy grilled hot dogs they were having the icky-gooey thing that would move if they stared at it hard enough. While the team played Volleyball they played dodgeball where they had to cover their powers and suck at dodging therefore making sure they got hit by every single ball. While the team made a whole sand mountain on superboy...well you get the idea.
Finally somehow the bell rang and school was officially over. The two of them had to basically lock their feet together so that they wouldn't run out in their speedster speeds.

Mount Justice
August 8th

"Recognised Kid Flash B03. Streak B05" The female voice of the Zeta beam teleporter tube sounded as Wally appeared wearing his bathing suit holding a picnic basket and a radio, a parasol, a beach ball tucked under his arm. "The wall man is here." He yelled as Streak appeared beside him in full costume shaking her head. "Now let's get this party start..." He said as he ran forward but he tripped over the excessive objects in his hands and he watched the ball bounce away as it went in the direction of Batman and Red Tornado. The cave was extremely silent excluding the bouncing noise of the wall. "ted." KF completed looking up. Streak side stepped "I don't know him." She muttered as she walked over to her team. Aqualad stepped aside a girl with long blonde hair tied in a high pony came into view. She wore a green tank-crop top with a green pair of pants and a green mask. The symbol on her chest was that of an arrow and it became obvious that she was an archer seeing that her bow was in her hand and a quiver full of arrows were slung over her shoulder. "Wall man huh? Love the uniform. What exactly are your powers?" She mocked. Wally got to his feet and walked over to Streak and the others. "Uh...Who's this?" Wally asked. "Artemis, your new team mate." She replied. "Kid Flash. Never heard of you." Wally grinned. Artemis frowned. "Uhm...she's my new protégé." Arrow said stepping forward and placing a hand on her shoulder. "What happened to your old one?" Wally asked. "Recognised Speedy B06." The zeta beam teleporter announced. "Well for starters he doesn't go by Speedy anymore." Speedy said appearing an entirely new costume. "Call me Red Arrow." He stated. Arrow let go of Artemis and walked over, "Roy. You look..." He began. "Replaceable." Red Arrow completed. "It's not like that. You told me you were going solo." Arrow said. "So why waste time finding a sub? Can she even use that bow?" Red Arrow asked. "Yes she can." Artemis said stepping toward Red Arrow. "Who are you?" Wally asked outraged. "I'm his niece." Artemis stated exactly when Green Arrow said "She's my niece." in a matter of fact sort of way. "Another niece?" Robin and Streak asked together and they looked at each other with the understanding of detectives passing between them. "But she is not your replacement." Aqualad said making everyone turn to him. He walked towards Red Arrow as he turned to face Aqualad. "We have always wanted you on the team and we have no quota on archers." Aqualad said. "And if we did, you know whom we'd pick." Wally put in. "Whatever Baywatch, I'm here to stay." Artemis said. "You came to us for a reason." Aqualad said more than asked. "Yeah a reason named Dr. Carlin Roquette." Red Arrow agreed. Robin's eyes flickered in recognition and he began to type on his computer pulling up a holo-screen for everyone to see. "Nano robotics genius and claytronics expert at royal university in star city vanished two weeks ago." Robin said as her picture and information popped up on the screen. "Abducted two weeks ago." Red Arrow corrected. "By the league of shadows." He finished. "Whoa! You want us to rescue her from the shadows?" Robin asked. "Hard core." Wally said as the two speedster and Robin fist-bumped. "I already rescued her." Red Arrow said bursting their bubble as he walked to the holo screen and clicked his own keypad bringing another window into view. "Only one problem the shadows had already coerced her into creating a weapon. Doc calls it the fog, comprised of millions of microscopic robots. Nanotech infiltrators capable of disintegrating anything in their path, concrete, steel, flesh, bone. But its true purpose isn't mere destruction. It's theft. The infiltrators eat and store raw data from any computer system and deliver the stolen intel to the shadows. Providing them access to weapons, strategic defence, cutting edge science and tech." Red Arrow said. "Perfect for extortion, manipulation, power broking, yeah, sounds like the shadows." Artemis put in. "Like you know anything about the shadows." Wally said placing a balled fist on his hip. Artemis smiled at him tauntingly. "Who are you?" He yelled. "Roquette's working on a virus to render the fog inert." Red Arrow said ignoring the two. "But if the shadows know she can do that..." Robin began. "They'll target her. Right now she's off the grid. I stashed at the local high school's computer lab." Red Arrow said pulling up the picture of the building. "You left her alone?" Arrow asked. "She's safe enough for now." Red Arrow said. "Then let's you and I keep her that way." Arrow said walking to him. "You and I? Don't you want to take your new protégé?" Red Arrow asked. Batman placed his hand on Arrow's shoulder making him turn. "You brought this to the team. It's their mission which means it's hers now too." Arrow said. "Pfft..then my job is done." Red Arrow said walking to the zeta beam teleporter. . "Recognised Speedy..." The zeta beam teleporter began "That's Red Arrow B06, update." He said before disappearing. Wally and Artemis exchanged looks. He didn't like her already.
