I want to cut myself. I hold the knife against my skin. Then I start to cut into the skin. Blood pools out.

I continue this process for a month. A total of 30 scars build a little field of white-pink lines on my arm. This helps me feel better about myself. I like looking at the scars.

But tonight I must venture out. It's my best friend's birthday. He wants me to go over to his house promptly at 7PM.

So exactly at 7 I am at his house. I am wearing a white T-shirt with a sweatshirt of his that he gave me for my birthday...anyway paired with jeans and boots. I hold a very large gift...aka a new guitar. I know he's been looking at it for awhile. He d.oesn't have the money to buy it.

Chanyeol opens the door before I can ring the d.oorbell.

"_____!" He then hugs me in one of his classic bear hugs.

"Happy birthday oppa!" I give him a warm s.mile.

"Thanks dear."

I hand him the guitar case and he takes it. After inviting me into his house, he opens the case.

"Kansamida _____. This is such a wonderful gift~"

"I know you've been looking at it for a long time. Enjoy playing it." ^_^

"You know _____, a much better gift is...you. I love you so much...much more than a friend. You're the only one here tonight because I want to spend time with you. You mean so much to me...you're my bestest friend; you are someone that I can trust, someone who understands me, someone who is ever so sweet and and kind, someone who stands by my side and is so loyal...you are more than I could ask for. "Thank you Channie...you mean so much to me too. That means a lot. I needed that. I really did."

"You can tell me anything. Is there something wrong?"

I scrunch up the sweatshirt sleeve to reveal the cuts and scars.

"_____, never d.o this again. I'm so sorry that I couldn't save you before this, but I can save you from hurting yourself even more."

Chanyeol then runs his fingers over my cuts and scars to form a heart.

"Everything will be alright love~" he says while kissing me passionately.
