Kai: Late to Class

As a new student entering a new school, I am terrified, as any new person would feel. I am starting on a clean slate; no friends, new school, new school uniform, new start to this section of my life.

I have no clue where to walk or who to sit with at lunch. I just scan the hallway as students walk with friends to class.

The first bell rings as I start to panic. I'm supposed to go to class 2-B but I have no clue where to go. Is there a second floor I would have to go to? Are there hallways that branch out? Where must I go?!

The second bell rings. This is the warning bell. The third ring is the late bell, or the start of class bell.

I start to have a panic attack before a student runs into me.

"Minhae!" He apologizes while bowing to me.

I'm on the ground sprawled out, with my backpack a few feet down from me. He lends a hand to me and I graciously accept it.

"It's alright," I smile. "Kansahmida."

He gives me a smile back before asking, "Where are you heading to?"

"2-B but I have no clue where that is!"

"Good thing I'm heading to that class to!" He grins.

"Omo yay! I'm so happy now that I have someone heading that way!"

I breath a sigh of relief. He puts his arm around me to make me feel secure, or at least that's how I feel.

When we walk into class, the teacher looks at us sharply. "Kai, late to class yet again. Detention again mister. But for you, _______ I know you are a new student so you are dismissed from detention. I'm assuming Kai showed you the way to class so next time you won't be late. Go sit now so I can start the lesson."

Kai practically drags me to the back of the room where his friends greet him-and me.
