Xiumin: Nature Walk

Xiumin: Nature Walk

For today's date, my boyfriend and I are going on a hike. We are going on a very well known trail. I am excited to be spending time with my boyfriend since we are both quite busy with our jobs. We live together so at least we see each other everyday at night.

We dress in the appropriate clothing for the hike and pack some water, snacks, and sunscreen. I put on sunglasses and Xiumin puts a hat on.

Then we head off to the trail. We drive because it is 40 minutes from where we live.

Music plays and we listen to it on our way. We are silent the whole ride there but we are enjoying ourselves.

When we get to the bottom of the mountain, we park in the parking lot and grab out items.

Then we start heading up the mountain.

"It's so high!" I exclaim.

"It's going to be worth it when we get to the top!"

"True that."

We pick and choose where we walk. We have to be careful of out footing. There are many boulders as well as small rocks and pebbles. There are also sticks, branches, and trees to get out of our way.

About two miles and an hour and a half in, I need a break. I am panting and sweating.

"At least there is a nice breeze and the temperature isn't that bad," Xiumin explains with a smile.

I drink some water while nodding to agree with his statement.

The clear blue skies are sprinkled with puffy white clouds. I am happy we chose a nice day to do this.

When we get to the top, we are both pooped. I plop on a square of grass at the top that is surprisingly there.

Xiumin and I lay on a blanket, drink sparkling cider, and eat some snacks. We have a fun time chasing butterflies, taking pictures, and taking Polaroid pictures.

"This was such a fun day!" before we head back down.

"I enjoyed today just as much as you did as well!" he gives me a smile and pecks me on the lips.

Then we began our trek down the long trail.
