The prince is looking the King right in the eyes, both of them are in pain. The King holds his son's hand and softly squeezes it.
'Son, I want you to change your style, you need to be like a citizen. Make sure you are not found by the killer, he is going to take over the land. Help the people son, the best you can. With Lilliowy...' he takes a deep breath and looks him right in the eyes. 'And Genevive. I love you.' He breathes out and does not breath back in again. His Highness, the Late King, is now gone. The prince lays his father's hand against his cheeks and cries silent tears. Then he angrily turns around. He saw the man run in that direction and within seconds he is running after him, his sword in his hand. He is gone in the night. I look at Lilliowy and she sighs.
'Let us calm the people down.' She says and I nod. I stand up and clap in my hands. Everyone quiets down immediately.
'Everyone, The Prince, Lilliowy and I will go back home and talk about everything that happened. We will come back to you to help all of you out after. For now, let us lay the late King to rest and all go home.' I say and everyone murmurs their agreement. We lay the late King in his coffin and it is brought back to the palace, where it stays the next few days until he will be buried. Everyone goes home and I stay with Lilliowy, waiting on the Prince. Then it starts to rain and the two of us sigh deeply, we want to go home.
'You Highness.' I say when he is back in the village. 'Did you find anything?' He shakes his head and keeps quiet.
'The rain washed it away. Lilliowy, can I stay with you?' He asks and Lilliowy nods.
'Yes, you are more than welcome.' Together we make our way to Lilliowy's home, where we dress into dry clothes and fall asleep.
The sound of distant yelling wakes me up from my light slumber. Within seconds I am on my feet and running down the hallway. It comes from the Prince's room. I open the door quickly and rush to his side. He is shaking, moving and yelling in his sleep.
'Your Highness? Your Highness! Sebastian!' I yell and shake his shoulders, trying to get him up. Suddenly his eyes snap open and he is up. He sits up rigidly and looks around him.
'It is not a dream?' He asks me and I shake my head, knowing that if I were him, I would want it to be a dream too.
'No, it is not.' I tell him softly and he growls angrily.
'Here, drink some water.' I hand him a chalice of water and he gulps it down quickly.
'Go to sleep, Your Highness...' I say softly and push him back under the covers. He closes his eyes and turns around, quickly falling back asleep. I walk back to my room and also slip under the covers. I take a deep breath and turn on my side. I look at the window and close my eyes falling into a light sleep. The sight of a black horse and river appears in front of my eyes. I fall, I sink into the water and screaming I wake up once again. What happened to me before I came here. The whole night I am turning over and over, and when I hear the cock scream hello to the sun, is when I fall into a deep sleep.
Yawning loudly, I sit up. I am very tired. What a night. First the King, then the Prince, then my dream, then no sleep and when I could, it was early in the morning. I sit up slowly and stretch myself, my joints pop and my muscles ache. I pull the blanket up slightly when there is a soft knock on the door. The light blue night gown is made of a soft fabric
'Come in!' I tell them and the door opens. Lilliowy and the Prince walk into my room, a tray in their hands. There is breakfast on it and they grab two chairs to sit beside the bed.
'Thank you very much.' I tell them and tear off a small piece of bread. I put it in my mouth and slowly chew on it.
'You are very welcome, but it was actually Sebastian's idea.' I smile at what Lilliowy says and blush looking down. Sebastian laughs and I look at him angrily. I put another piece of bread in my mouth, enjoying the taste in my mouth.
