'Why?' I ask him and he smiles at me.
'Because. I would not let you die on me.' He says into my ear and I lean into him. My legs are on one side, his arms around my waist, holding me against him.
'Thank you.' I tell him and lean my side into his chest, my cheek on his shoulder. My long hair is loose and flies against his chest. His cape is flying behind me and I shiver. He looks down and frowns at me.
'Fernaco, fly straight and calm, I need to put my cape around Genevive.' He says and Fernaco neighs, stopping in the air and just flapping his wings, holding us steady. Sebastian takes his cape off and puts it on my, tucking it under my legs and putting the hood over my head.
'Go on Fernaco, I will hold on to your manes.' He says and soon his arms are leaving me and are holding on to the manes. My hand travels up his chest and on to his cheek, a soft stubble tickles the palm of my hand. My hand holds on to his neck and I pull myself close to him, the cold leaving my body when I touch his. We fly over the great forest and to the castle ruins we were at before. He lets Fernaco stay in the stables while he lifts me up and takes me inside, walking through the hallways. He opens up a door and we walk into a bedroom. The windows are still intact and the furniture has been dusted off.
'This was my mother's room when she stayed here in the castle. I will heat up some water so you can wash yourself.' He says and I nod with a smile. He lays me down on the bed and I curl up into his cape, the salty, pine and musky smell of him enters my nose and I sigh happily. He walks out of the room and I close my eyes, falling asleep promptly. All the things that happened in the past few days have caught up with me and I feel that sleep is calling taking me with him within seconds.
I feel someone lifting me up so I open my eyes. Sebastian is holding me and I smile at him.
'Hello Sleeping Beauty.' He says and I smile at him.
'Hey.' I say yawning and stretch myself. He puts me down on my feet and his hands are massaging my back.
'The tub is warm, you can slip in now.' He says and I nod. Quickly I walk into the washroom and strip myself off my torn clothes and slip into the water. I again close my eyes while I let my body soak.
'I have put a dress on the bed for you.' I hear him say and smile.
'Thank you, Sebastian!' I say back and hear him leave the room. Quickly I wash my body and my hair, softly going over my face, due to the injuries the guard, Yorin, gave me. When I am done, I get out and put a big cloth around me, drying my body before going into the bedroom. I look at the dress and smile. It is a soft green color. I am lucky the guards did not take the necklace off me. I dress myself in the green dress. It has a tight corset back and off the shoulder sleeves. On the front is a beautiful embroidery, along with above the hem. The skirt reaches my calves and a pair of pink gloves lays beside it. I pull on the boots to and look into the looking glass, a gasp leaving my mouth at what I see. I have got a black eye, a huge bruise on my cheek and chin. My nose is also blue.
'You still look beautiful in my eyes.' I hear him say behind me and look at him into the looking glass.
'Sebastian, do not lie to me, please. I do not look beautiful like this.' I say and feel tears burn I my eyes.
'Yes you are. Because this will go away and your inner beauty is so beautiful. You are kind, generous, fair and honest. You are everything a girl should wish to be.' He tells me and walks towards me, his arms circling around my waist.
'Sebastian...' I murmur and he smiles at me, his lips pressing to my temple. He puts me on the bed and crouches down, helping me into my boots. Then he lifts me up into his arms and walks back to the stables, where Fernaco stands. He lifts me up on him first and then pushes himself on behind me. We fly off again, I lean against him, closing my eyes again and falling into a deep sleep.
