Chapter 8- Catching up

The next morning I woke up at 8 in the morning to go grab my phone and finally see Ross. I bolted into my dad’s room yelling that it was morning, meaning I got my phone back.

“It’s Saturday and I’m trying to sleep.”

“Please daddy, you said I get my phone back in the morning and it’s morning!!”

He handed me my phone, “Now let me get some sleep”

I left my dad’s room and sprinted to Ross’ house.

“Good morning, sweetheart!“ Stormie exclaimed, “oh how we’ve missed you!” She gave me a hug. “Ross is still sleeping, but you’re welcome to go up there, it’d be nice if he was finally awake before noon.

I slowly walked up the stairs, trying to stay calm so I could walk into his room quietly. I walked up to the door and silently entered. When I closed his door, I walked to the other end of the room and climbed into the bed. Ross didn’t immediately wake up, but instead reached over and pulled me into him and wrapped his arms around my waist. I kissed him, waking him up.

“Good morning.” I giggled

“Morning” He smiled and kissed me back, “I missed you so much, baby girl.”

“I missed you too.”

For the next hour we made out, cuddled, and talked about everything that happened during each of our groundings and how they were terrible because it meant we couldn’t see each other.

But I still had something on my mind that I felt needed to be addressed.

“So, Braden heard your dad yelling at you… and I guess he had said something about you having run-ins with the cops… And I don’t like to pry into other people’s business, but as your girlfriend I feel as if I have the right to know…”

He sighed, “I’m sorry you had to find out like that, I swear I was going to tell you about it. I was an angry kid, I always got into fights and would do stupid and reckless things.” he instantly looked sad, so I decided to just leave it be.

“I love you, Ross Shor Lynch.”

“And I love you, Katrina Jane Burke.”

I loved that day, when he kissed me I felt fireworks. He kissed me,  I deepened it; I kissed him, he deepened it. Shirts off, bare skinned, we had a lot of catching up to do.

I mean, for us it was the summer of love. I could have been in a room full of attractive men, and I would only see him.
