Ingredients:
-1 cup softened butter
-1 8-oz package of softened cream cheese
-1 1/2 cups sugar, divided into 1 1/4 cups and 1/4 cup
-2 eggs
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-2 cups flour
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-1/4 cup milk
-1 cup chocolate chips
Topping:
-1/4 cup chopped pecans
-1 teaspoon cinnamonInstructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese, and 1 1/4 cup of sugar. Beat in the eggs and the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to the creamed stuart, alternating with the milk. Sir in the chips. Pour into a greased 9-inch spring form pan. Mix the pecans, cinnamon, and the remaining sugar in a separate bowl; sprinkle over the batter. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 15 minutes. Carefully run a knife around the edge of the pan to loosen. Remove the sides of the pan. Cool completely before cutting.
