Book: One.

Chapter: Ten; Rebecca and her gossips.

When fourth period came, I heard from Felicia, a freshmen, a new gossip, about me. I bit my lip, wondering what the gossip was about. She said it was that I was a abandoned daughter by my father, and I was an illegitimate child. Then, for some idiotic reason, my father decided to acknowledge me back as his biological daughter. Which was all crap.

I thanked Felicia, and she smiled kindly, as she skipped to class happily. Oh god, I'm so going to kill the person who started this rumor. I thought to myself. I walked to class, and people were whispering.

"Rosanna!" A voice called.

I turned, and saw Stephan running to catch up with my pace.

"Hey." I greeted him.

"Hey, err, listen... About the rumors."

I cut him off by putting my hands up in the air.

"Look, the rumors about me being an illegitimate child is-"

"No, no. Rosanna. Listen. There's another rumor going on. About how your mother had an affair. You and Rosario weren't twins. They said that Rosario was the biological son of King Felico and Queen Rozetta. And you were an illegitimate child that Queen Rozetta had with another man outside." Stephan explained.

"Do you have any idea who started it?" I asked.

"Oh, I sure do. The haughty princess, Rebecca, and her group of idiots." Stephan said.

"Oh? Do you know where they are now?" I asked.

Stephan looked as though he didn't want to tell me, but something on my face made him struggle in defeat.

"Down the stairs, the chemistry laboratory." Stephan said, sighing.

I smiled, and thanked him, before walking down the stairs. Fifth period was taught by Mrs. Hernandez, my Spanish teacher. She loved me, actually, all the teachers adored me. No one actually really cared if I attended class because I passed each test and exam with flying colors, and behaved well in their classes, except after school hours, and skipping lessons.

"You should have seen the look on her face. And get this. She's not even Royal. She doesn't have a place in the line even though her father and mother are the King and Queen of I don't know what country Vampires." I grit my teeth together, as I stepped out of the shadows, laughing sarcastically.

The group turned, and glared at whoever had interrupted their gossip. But when they saw me, some of them looked embarrassed, or smug. But Rebecca was smirking.

"Hey! At least I know who my parents are, not like some people." I said.

Apparently, the adult vampires had to keep their children here at a young age, of perhaps three to five until they graduate from Immortal Academy's University. The Academy consisted of Pre-School, Middle school, High school, College and then university. Many parents were too busy to come back to school to visit their children. Either they were busy guarding heavy places, Sworn bloods, or like my parents, taking care of a Country. Or, they just don't want their children. For some saddest cases, the parents just... suicide.

Rebecca flinched, but she continued.

"My mother's the custodian of King Antonio Salvatore, king of Italian vamps." Rebecca said, smirking.

God, she's such a liar.

"For your information, King Antonio is my father, and Queen Rozetta is King Antonio's custodian. And my name's Rosanna Salvatore."
