The coldness of the snow numbs the left side of my face. I see Lily with her hand out chanting a spell. I slowly get up against the powerful force Lily has on me. I grunt in pain as I stand up. I can feel Ulla giving me some of her strength and power. I can see Lily putting more force into her magic. I glare at her. "I will fight until the very end," I tell her. Suddenly two brown Hawks attack her. She falls to the ground, which relieves me of the pain. I look at Hades and Hazel. "I thought I told you to keep running?" I ask them.
"We lost you once..." Hades starts.
"We're not prepared for round two of looking for you." Hazel finishes his sentence.
"Let's end this for good." I hear Hades state. My heart warms up at this kind gesture.
"Let us end it," I repeat. Hazel throws me a covered sword. I catch it and peel off the covering. All three of us get into position. I watch as an ocean of guards charge towards us. I shout and charge towards them. I swiftly cut down men from my path to reach Jace. I see his arrogant face in the background. I dodge swings and the blades. I kick men to the ground. A guard grabs me by the hair and drags me down. I hiss in pain. I go to grab my sword that flew to the right. He points his sword at me, but he pauses. I take his hesitation to kick him down. I sit on top of him and use his sword against him. "Never hesitant, this is war," I whisper in his ear before slicing his throat. I kick him away and go to retrieve my sword.
"Hades needs help!" I hear Hazel shout as she fights off two men.
"What about you?" I ask. She stabs one of them and kicks the other.
"What about me?" She replies with a raised eyebrow. I smile widely.
"Nothing." I simply say.
"Now go, Hades never calculates correctly." She points at Hades, who's fighting off five men. I throw my sword, and it stabs one of the men in the back. I run to Hades aid. I take my sword back and swing it around for the next victim. No one can see the blood that stains my black dress. I kick down a man and slice his throat. I see Jace everywhere, and I lose my mind. I see red, all my anger. I swing my sword killing men faster than light. When I snapped out of it, I noticed I decapitated a man. I feel a warm liquid drip down my face. This time it wasn't tears. I wipe it away and continue my surge.
"Watch out!" I shout as a guard tries to stab Hazel. She turns around and kills him. Her eyes turned into a golden color. I know her eyesight, and awareness is heightened. Her eyes move so fast that I can't mark where she's looking. She runs towards me, and I duck down. I feel her feet step on my back. I get up to see her in the air about to stab a guard that is behind me.
She breathes heavily and looks at me. "Thanks for that lift." She smirks.
"No problem, but next time advise me first," I say, holding her hand. She nods her head.
"Communication is key." Her sharp eyes move behind me. "Swing." I hear her whisper. Without looking, swing my sword. I look down to see a guard on the ground bleeding. "Look in front of you." I hear Hazel say. I seem to see Lily walking towards us. Her mask shines brightly against the sunset. I lifted my sword to her throat when she got close to me.
"Put your sword down." She calmly orders. Hazel pushes my hand down. I glare into her green eyes.
"What is it you want?" I ask her. She smooths down her velvet cape and smiles.
"Master Jace has ordered your presence." She seriously states. I laugh.
"As if I'd want to see his face." I insult. Lily's lips form a frown.
"Master wants you whether you want to or not." She gravely says.
"Or what?" I question. "He'll brainwash me again?"
