I get dragged to another room without much of a word. Two guards grab each of my arms. I try to get out of their grasp. "Let go of me!" I shout. My hair falls out of the pin from yesterday. I haven't changed. I pull down my whole weight to stop the men—it didn't work. They continued to drag me like a lifeless doll. "I said, let me go!" I kick and thrash around. A servant opens a door, and the two guards push me into the room. I collapse on the cold marble floor—at least they let go of me.
"I see you made it in one piece." I hear his arrogant voice say.
I get up and glare at him. "Shut up." I angrily reply. He laughs, sounding amused about my entrance. I dust off the dress and unpin my messy hair.
"Come closer, Ursula." He commands.
I crossed my arms and glared harder. "I'm fine with where I'm standing," I state.
I could see him getting angry, good.
"I said to come closer." He menacingly says. I walk to him. He arrogantly sits on a throne-like chair. He offers his hand. I resentfully take it. He makes me sit on the arm of his chair. "Have you thought about what I asked of you?" He looks up at me. His eyes show no emotion.
"I have..." I slowly say. I see him smile, quite pleased. He'll be pleased all right.
"Have you agreed then?" He asks.
I softly laugh. "Yes, I agreed that you could go straight to hell." I seriously state. I get up to leave, but he grabs hold of my wrist. He pulls me to the floor near his feet. My rib hits the edge of a stair. I wince in pain from my rib and wrist.
"Look here, you little..." He catches himself and fixes his hair. He smiles down at me. He resembles Mason in so many ways that it sent chills down my spine. He cups my chin, "Why can't you be a good girl and just comply?"
"Cause that would mean I'm giving up my other half, my soul, and best friend." I think to myself. I look away from him.
"Answer me." He angrily shouts. He brings my face closer to his. I am deeply disgusted by his face. My arm shoots out in pain by his iron grip.
"I'll never work along with the child of a murderer." I hiss. He lets my face go with a slight shove causing my neck to crack by force.
"Allow me, Master." I hear the girl say as she enters the room. I roll my eyes. She's clearly in love with this monster. The way she talks to him gives it all away. I look up at Jace. I don't see his charm. He has a pretty face, but a horrible personality and soul.
"Lily, my dear." He lovingly says. I can practically hear him using her. I watch her as she walks confidently in an emerald loose strappy dress. Her blonde hair is loosely curled. An emerald green mask covers her upper face. All that green makes her green eyes pop. She has a similar stature to me. She sits on the arm of his chair and caresses his cheek. I can feel the vomit coming up.
"I'll make her comply, master." She giggles. I internally groan. She sits leveled to me. I glare at her. "Come now, that doesn't look good on your lovely face." Her cold hands touch my cheek. I grimace. Her hands move up my face. Her icy fingertips press onto my temples. I instantly feel like I'm threading through thick water. Images of my parents and aunt flash through my mind in a blur. I scream in pain. It feels like a hammer is banging against my head. I feel Ulla fighting back the power of the girl. My hand instinctively grabs hold of something. The object is warm. She puts even more pressure on my temple.
"Stop!" I shout. "Stop it!" I close my eyes and try to shut off my mind. I imagine a locked iron door blocking her magic. "Get out of my head!" I shout as I hold my head.
