chapter 9 - i had a revelation

Naomi's POV

"I have to end this" I thought to myself.

I opened the stall and stared at myself in mirror.

I looked a hot mess.

My mascara was running, my lip gloss was scarce, and my hair was messed up.

I sighed and reapplied some mascara and lipgloss and tried to fix my hair.

I looked at my self one more time in mirror and exited the bathroom. It was time. What I was about to do was needed.

I can't let someone just use me. I know my self worth.

I walked over towards our table and guess who was sitting in my chair? Zoe.

Zoe and Matty were chatting it up while I was in the bathroom. At this point, I was extremely pissed.

I angrily marched over to the table and cleared my throat.

"Um excuse me Zoe, I believe that was my seat. Thanks for keeping it warm." I said sarcastically.

"Oh yeah, sorry I just thought I would catch up with Matty since I haven't seen him in a while. Oh I almost forgot, what did you guys want to drink?" Zoe responded

"Well, Zoe, we're kinda on a date so I would be happy if you didn't catch up with Matty. And pleas give us a couple of minutes, we need to speak to each other alone." I snapped at Zoe.

"Well, my bad, I'll be back in a couple of minutes then." Zoe said.

Once Zoe left, I looked at Matty.

Matty's POV

Wow, Naomi looked fucking pissed at me. I wanted to let her know that Zoe and I were just friends.

Naomi took a deep breath and started to talk slowly.

"Matty, I tried to put it off but I just can't. I really really like you and I was jealous when I saw you hugging and kissing on Zoe. I thought that you were just using me. And now that you've told me that she's your ex, I'm really upset now because I'm scared that I'm gonna lose you to her and I just can't have that." Naomi said without stopping to take a breath.

"Naomi, you ran off to early to see what actually happened. I left out of the Coffee House and then I saw Zoe. I said hi to her and I wasn't going to hug or kiss her because I like you way too much to just fool around with other girls. Zoe was the one who tried to kiss me and hug me but I pushed her off." I said hoping that she would understand.

Naomi rolled her eyes and said "Well from what I saw, it sure looked like you were enjoying it"

"Babe, I swear as soon as I pushed her off I was afraid that you would think that something was going on between Zoe and I. Love, the only thing that's going on is just between you and I. The only kisses that I enjoy are yours. I guess all I'm trying to say is I'm sorry and I never meant to hurt you." I said.

Naomi say there silently for a second contemplating over the statement I just made.

After a couple of minutes of silence, she finally responded.

"Can you just give me some time to just process all of this?"

"Sure love whatever you want." Matty said sadly.
