Penny sat in the bathroom, quietly sobbing into her tear stained hands. Penny did feel bad for not giving the little boy a popsicle, but she felt even worse being in the presence of a boy who she wanted nothing to do with. His dad gave her so much pain, sorrow, and fear.

Even though the boy had done nothing at all to harm her, she just felt as if he could do something to her. If you had went through what Penny had gone through, you would totally understand.

Penny was a complete wreck, she couldn’t stand looking at the boy who had just entered the popsicle shop. That face brought back so many memories, it wasn’t even funny.

“Penny, get up!” Katherine yelled, shaking Penny and trying to pull her off the gym floor. Penny was still, and took a deep breath in. She breathed out, and Katherine pulled her up off the floor. Once both of Penny’s feet were on the ground again, Katherine tugged her towards the door. A police officer was waiting outside in the gym lobby, and motioned quickly for them to proceed to the library. Penny stood still.

“Go, he’s coming. Come on, move on!” The police officer said strictly, ushering towards the door. Penny spun around on her heel and stared at the gym doors in front of her, waiting for the man and the police officers to barge through that door. The police officer grabbed Penny’s hand and pulled her through the doors to the library and lightly pushed her in, while a teacher locked the door.

Katherine was crying profusely, while Penny stood there in shock, and boy, was Penny mad. All she wanted to do was find that man again, and confront him. Of course, she knew that she probably wouldn’t be able to do that right now. She just wanted to do it so badly, and it killed her that she couldn’t.

Suddenly, Max crawled his way through the crowd of the kids in the library, and sat down by Penny. Max waved a hand in front of Penny’s face, because the only thing Penny was doing was staring at a wall in front of her. She wasn’t staring at any wall though. She was staring at a wall with a bookcase, holding one of her favorite books. She forgot the name of it though, she just saw the book cover and instantly recognized it. You would think she would know the name to her favorite book, but she was so in shock, she could barely even think. The book was about kidnapping, and she realized “I was just kidnapped.”

Eventually, Penny got up from the closed toilet seat, and splashed her face with water from the sink. She opened up the bathroom door swiftly, and glanced at the clock on the wall in front of her. Her shift had already ended, and she sighed with relief. She was ready to go home.

She saw that Max had already left, and her other other co-workers had already arrived, ready to serve customers. She gave them a nod, grabbed her purse, and headed out the door.

Penny walked all the way home, not stopping to say hello to anyone. She saw a couple of people that she knew along the way, but she didn’t feel like stopping to talk to them. She felt that if she did start talking to them, she’d probably start crying her eyes out.

Once she finally reached the front door to her house, she inserted her house keys into the lock. She pushed the door open, taking the keys out and shutting the door. Both of her parents were at work, so she was all alone in the quiet house. She put her large purse onto the dining room table, slipped her sandals off, and ascended up the stairs.

Once she entered her room, she noticed how girly and baby-ish it looked. The walls were a light pink color, her bed spread was a lime green, and almost all of her furniture had tiny flowers painted on them.

“I need to go buy new furniture.” Penny said to herself, while plopping down on her bed and grabbing her computer from her desk. She propped the computer on her legs, and logged into her old Windows computer. Once the laptop had loaded all of her applications, she clicked on the Internet and went straight to Facebook.

Penny rarely posted anything on Facebook, she just likes to see what other people have been up to. She usually checks her sister’s profile first, because she loves seeing the new and exciting things that her sister does. Her sister, Emily, is still in college, but Emily does lots of cool things. She goes rock climbing, skiing sometimes, and even goes to amusement parks. Sometimes Penny wonders how her sister gets all that money to do those things.

Suddenly, Penny’s old blackberry phone goes off. She hops off her bed and walks across the room and dug her phone out of her purse. She was expecting it to be Katherine texting her, but she was completely wrong. It was a text from Max and it read:

“Kyle just texted me.”

A/N

Hey guys, it's me again. First of all, I would like to apologize for the short and boring chapter. I really despise this chapter so much, but I really wanted to be able to get a chapter up for you wonderful people! School has been very stressful lately and the fact that I have exams coming up soon doesn't help.

I will try to get a new chapter up soon, but in the meantime, can we try to get at least 4 votes and 2 comments?
