“What’s an airport without a Starbucks?” Jennifer said, tapping away at her phone, her luggage clutched to her side. Currently at the moment, Kyle and his friends were sitting in the airport, getting ready to fly to Minnesota. Kyle had never really liked flying, he usually preferred traveling by bus or car. But today, he was extremely excited because he was leaving his school, his home, and his whole town for a week. As long as he was getting away, he didn’t mind which way they traveled.
“An airport without a Starbucks,” Claire said. “Is not an airport then.” It was true, Claire and Jennifer really liked coffee. Not just the Starbucks kind, though. They’d be willing to drink coffee found on the road, as long as it was coffee. It kind of scared Kyle and his friends, could someone really like coffee that much?
“So,” Michael said, looking at Claire and Jennifer. “You’re rooming with Penny and Katherine?”
“Yes,” Jennifer said. “Do you have a problem with that?”
“No,” Michael looked down. “Not at all. It’s just, we’ve never really hung out with them that much.”
“Yes, we kind of have.”
“Whatever.”
Kyle slung his backpack off of his shoulder and pulled out a water bottle, beginning to gulp it down to block out the awkwardness. He had been wondering where Penny and her friends were, constantly scanning the airport, trying to find her medium-length blonde hair. He couldn’t find her though, so he eventually gave up. Until he felt a tap on his shoulder.
“Hey.” Penny said, smiling as Kyle turned around. Beside Penny were Katherine and Max, holding hands, as usual. Attached to Penny’s luggage was a One Direction bag, and Kyle let out a muffled laugh.
“One Direction, eh?” He asked, continuing to laugh.
“Don’t even get me started,” Penny said, hitting the bag and letting out a little scoff. “My mom made me bring this one because she couldn’t find an actual normal bag.”
“I think it’s pretty hot,” Kyle said. “Harry’s my favorite.” Penny furrowed her eyebrows, and looked at the bag closely. She pointed to the boy with blonde hair.
“This one’s Harry, right?” She asked, looking back up at Kyle. He laughed and shook his head.
“Looks like Kyle knows more about a boy band than a teenage girl does.” Brian said, laughing.
“Actually, no, you are incorrect.” Kyle said, rolling his eyes yet laughing at the same time. The other teenagers gathered around in the circle began to laugh with each other, Kyle laughing at himself also.
“Okay, okay,” Claire started. “You do realize that we all have to wait in this airport for another hour before our plane boards, right?” Everyone let out a small groan, especially Kyle. Kyle was an extremely impatient person. Waiting for the pizza guy to arrive to his house even bugged him, testing his patience to the max. Penny, however, simply shrugged. She didn’t mind. She was just glad she was there.
Over the past hour, the group of friends would just mess around, talk, and go onto their phones or tablets. Max, Katherine, and Penny all sat by each other, waiting until it was time to board the plane. Kyle and his group of friends would all stick together, messing around and looking out the windows at the incoming planes landing, ignoring the fact that Penny and her friends were there too. Penny didn’t care, she was too busy caught up scrolling through her phone, texting people and going on all her social media accounts.
“Hey,” Kyle whispered to Penny, tapping her on the shoulder. “I want to show you something.” Penny nodded and stood up from her seat, giving a shrug to Max and Katherine’s confused faces.
Kyle grabbed Penny’s hand, smiling like an idiot and laughing a little. “Why are you laughing?” Penny asked, unsure as to why Kyle was so excited and acting so mischievous.
“No reason,” Kyle said, continuing to hold Penny’s hand and leading her down a large hallway through the airport. Many people were strolling by with suitcases and luggage, staring at Penny and Kyle, who were speeding through the hallway, passing everyone in sight.
“Oh, come on,” Penny said, stopping in the middle of the hallway, crossing her arms across her chest. “Tell.”
“Fine, fine,” Kyle said, giving up on the secret. “I found a Starbucks.”
“I rarely even drink coffee, Kyle.”
“Who cares?! We can get something to drink from Starbucks and when we get back to where everyone else is, Claire and Jennifer will freak out.”
“And why should I go along with this?”
“Because,” Kyle started, pulling his wallet out of his back pocket. “I’ll pay.”

This is possibly the shortest chapter ever written in the history of chapters. I'm sorry it sucked so badly, I just have no idea what to do with this story anymore.
