I noticed that a crowd around us has formed. God. The students that I go to school with has been listening to this man.

"Why are you watching my every move? Is there a reason to your creepiness?" I asked trying to keep my cool.

"Looks like we both have our secrets." He said simply.

I turned away from him and walked to Chandler's car. I squeezed and dodged people. Wanting nothing more than to lay on my bed at home.

Not looking up from my black converse I ran into someone, causing me to stumble back and make my hoodie fall from my head, revealing my face.

"Jade? Are you okay? Who was that?" Blake asked concern lacing his voice.

"I-I um have to go, I'll catch you later." I said not fully looking him in the eyes. I pushed past him and his group of friends, or should I say our group of friends? I have no idea.

I slid in the passengers seat and quickly put on my seatbelt. I could feel Blake staring at me, good thing the windows where tinted so he couldn't see me.

"Jade, your shaking, what's wrong?" He asked.

I looked down at my hands and sure enough he was right. My hands where shaking badly. I put my hands under my thighs so I would have to look at them anymore.

"I just want to go home." I stated.

He gave me one last look and started the car up and did as I wished.

Entering my apartment I noticed everything was back to normal. Clocks where ticking and the birds were tweeting again.

I hugged myself as a chill ran down my back for no reason in particular. I realized that I still had Chandler's hoodie on.

"Keep it." He said. He must have noticed me starting to tug it off.

I offered him a smile. He draped an arm around me pulling me close.

"Um Dree what questions was that man asking you." I asked.

"Annoying ones like if I knew someone named Jean Hemmingway. And if I think it's a coincidence that we have the same last name." That's as far as he got before you grabbed me.

I tensed and stopped breathing. "And what did you say?"

"I said I didn't know him. And that I didn't think it was a coincidence that I had the same last name as him. Since Hemmingway is a somewhat common last name."

"Okay." Was all I said before the room started spinning.

"Jade breath!" Chandler shouted in my ear.

I did as he said and the corners of my vision appeared clear again.

"Jade, you know him don't you? Who is Jean?" Dree asked her face curious.

"I'm gonna go lie down guys I don't feel too good." I said as I detangled myself from Chandler.

I closed my room door behind me and leaned against it and slid down to the floor. I put my head in my hands and thought deeply.

Jean Hemmingway was my father. What could the government possibly want with my dad know? I hope he wasn't in trouble. I wish I knew where he was. I mean I was still a little angry than he just left my brother and I. Plus he lied to us.

I mean he could've just said that he was leaving for good. But I guess it would've been harder for him to actually leave. Knowing my brother and I would have each grabbed one of his legs and prevented him from leaving, like we used to do when he would go to work.

"Oh God I hope he's okay." I whispered to myself as a tear managed to break free on my face.

I got up from my spot and took off my shoes. Exchanging my low cut socks for black Nike high socks. Changing out of my white joggers and into black shorts. I kept Chandlers hoodie on loving the way it smelled.

Just as I was about sit on my bed someone knocked on the door.

I sighed and opened the door.

"Yes Chandler?"

"Missed me?" He asked with a smirk on his face.

"It's only been a few minutes." I stated.

"Well I missed you already." He said giving me heart melting pout.

"I thought you would leave by now." I said flatly. He looked hurt. His face resembled a wounded puppy. I instantly felt bad. "Because, I said that I wasn't feeling well and that usually when the boys that come over leave."

"Well apparently I didn't get the memo. And what other guys have you brought home?" He said managing to direct my attention away from his hands that were now on my hips.

"Actually no boys I was just talking about people in general. My brother would usually scare away the guys that liked me. I only had about like 3 boyfriends in my lifetime." I rambled away. Now noticing how his hands were traveling up my waist then back to my hips. It was actually very soothing.

"Good I want to meet your brother now. He seems like a really good brother." He said walking towards me to eliminate any space between us.

"What do you think your doing?" I asked a little breathless.

"I'm just trying to calm you down. Your really tense. Plus you almost passed out a couple minutes ago." He said.

"Well I'm better now."

"So you want me to stop what I'm doing?" He asked stopping for a minute.

"No don't stop its really relaxing."

He chuckled resting his chin on my head. He smelled my hair sending chills down my spine.

"I'm always here if you want to talk Jade. Just give me a call." He said before he stopped rubbing my sides.

"But I don't have your number."

"I added my number on your phone when you left it in my car unlocked."

"Your sneaky." I said half smiling.

"Only for you babe." He smiled and left. Leaving my body cold.

I checked my phone. It was around 4 in the afternoon. I was bored. I didn't have any homework or studying to do. So I just laid in bed thinking.

What the hell happened today? One of the guys thought I was on my period because I wasn't answering their questions. Ug guys are so dumb. I went outside and some random stranger hobo said that I had a blackish aura around me. Is that supposed to mean that I'm going to die soon? Because I have no intention to die at all.

I checked my phone again it was 9:16. So I either have been thinking for a while or I took a nap. I couldn't tell.

I suddenly felt the need to go to my window sill. It's usually where I go when I need to think.

I looked out at the full moon. I felt the need to howl like a wolf or something because well I'm weird. And it's what my father and I used to do, back when he was still around. I think he did it because he wanted to entertain us.

I smiled at the memory. It quickly vanished when I realized someone was watching me from the shadows of nearby trees. Their face stayed hidden for a while. All was visible was a piercing angry blue eye.

Something about those eyes were very familiar. I didn't know who could own those eyes though.

At the last moment before a cloud passed over the moon she revealed herself.

Out from the shadows she standing a few feet under my window. She glared at me before the clouds covered the moon, blinding the neighborhood from the dangers that lurked around my home and family.

That danger particularly being Daisy.
