6 Years Later...
On December 12 2039, 2 days before my wedding day I was sitting next to my twin brother. He had his arm around me and he was smiling big."What are you cheesing about?" I asked giggling.
"Life is finally going our way Jade! We're both 24 now, we're growing up! And in 2 days your getting married! 2 fucking days! And I couldn't be any happier for you! I know Chandler will take amazing care of you." He said sighing with content.
"But you were just threatening him yesterday about taking care of me." I said with confusion.
"Shush sister that doesn't matter, I just had to make sure he was the one for you. Live in the present not the past." He said chuckling.
"Yea whatever, that just means I can harass your girlfriend when you get married." I said slapping him on the arm.
"Do what you want sis, but right now shut up and bask in this amazing sunset." He said covering my mouth. His smile turned to disgust as he removed his hand from my money maker. "Ew! What are we 4 year olds? Stop licking people's hands! Your not a dog! God I swear sometimes, Jade, sometimes." He said joining my laughter.
When we calmed down we laid on the grass and watched as the Earth rotated around the sun.
God where did the time go? I missed being a senior, and going to elementary school and not having to worry about who would die. Well I did know who would die but I paid no mind to it.
After the couple of days of the hospital I missed a couple of tests and midterms. Though I pulled though and passed with straight A's. I'm a miracle worker. Since the government has left my family and I alone because of something my father said, I decided to pursue my dream and become a producer. But there was still something I kept on wondering, what did my father say that would scare the government of the United States? Whatever my dad said had a very big impact. My father told me not to worry about it but I still wonder.
I have created multiple successful movies and T.V shows, that I hope will change the perspective that most people have.
"Thinking about life?" My dad asked from behind us.
Ever since we left the hospital he has spent every last second with us to make up for the last 10 years he missed. Even though we let him know that we forgave him, he still spent time with us. And I loved him for doing that.
"Yea, just remembering the fun time we had." I said with a ghost of a smile on my face. My eyes landed on his knuckles, they were bloody and bruised. "Daddy, what happened?" I asked concerned. I placed my hands on his and examined them.
"Just a fist fight don't worry about it sweety." He said with his eyes anywhere but my face. He was lying.
"Dad. Just tell me the truth."
"Woah is dad going rogue? Come on pops your getting too old to start having fights." Gabe said putting in his two sense.
"The guy that tried to rape you 6 years ago? I ran into him and recognized his voice, the description you gave me matched him too. I lost my temper and gave him a beat down. He didn't see me coming." He said smiling a bit.
"Oh shit, dad." I said with an alarmed tone once I realized something.
"Hey, language." He said while glaring at me.
