Chandler's P.O.V
When I allowed her to open her eyes I saw joy. The lights of the streets below reflected in her eyes. Her mouth slowly reached into full out blown smile. And it was a sight to see.As cheesy as it sounds I loved making her happy. I noticed the fear in her eyes when I told her to close her eyes. I didn't know if she was scared of me or not, but I decided to let it go.
Her smile was like a firefly's. A bright light against the dark night.
"You like it?" I asked studying her face, to make sure she wasn't faking it.
"I-I love it. It's so gorgeous out here. And the candlelight on the blanket it's just wow." She said.
I just chuckled and invited her to sit down next to me on the plush black blanket. "What dessert would you like?" I asked her pointing out the variety laid out.
"Oh wow. I don't know what to pick. Can you pick?" She asked me. I could tell she was blushing but I couldn't see under all the delicious chocolate skin of hers.
Damn this woman is doing things to me.
"I actually don't know what some of these are. I just asked for the best desserts they had. Some of it has to be new." I said scratching my head. "Try some of this pink stuff."
She grabbed the fork and reached for it. She looked at it then looked back at me. "Okay but you have to try with me."
I chuckled and grabbed a fork. "Okay on the count of 3 we'll do it together." I said looking at her. She met my gaze, when he did it seemed as if she was looking through me. It gave me chills.
She nodded her head.
"One......two.......four......" I counted. She gave me a weird look. "THREE!" She widened her eyes slighted and put the forkful of pink stuff in her mouth the same time I did.
She moaned. "That was so good." She said stabbing the dessert to get more in her mouth.
Wow. I love how she doesn't feel shy around me when she eats.
"Am I right or am I right?" She asked with sparkling eyes.
I laughed at her and agreed with her. She sure is a character. And I love that about her.
The next dessert was more American, it was just plain vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup on top.
This time when I told a bite and I moaned. "I guess every scoop of vanilla ice cream needs some chocolate sauce on top. Right babe?" I said looking up at Jade. She had her cheeks in her hands. "What did I embarrass you?" I asked knowing I did. I smiled at her reaction.
"Did you really say that?" She asked covering her eyes with her hands. "Oh my god I can't get that sentence out of my head.
I started laughing, soon she joined me too.
After some more desserts we laid down and looked up at the stars.
"Chandler this was an amazing date." She said with a lazy smile on her face. I noticing she was drifting off to sleep, but before she did she laid her head on my chest.
I rapped my arms around her, securing her a bit more. She was so cute. We payed there for a while more. Her soft snores made me realize that we should probably get going. I checked my watch.
Jeez, time really flies by fast. It was 12:10 A.M.
As soon as I tried to move her she woke up. She yawned and alarm made its way on her face. "What time is it?" She yelled.
"Woah relax. What's the rush." I asked her trying to calm her down.
"There's no time to explain what time is it!?" She asked with tears in her eyes.
Woah. That escalated quickly.
"It's 12:12. Hey make a wish!" I said trying to lighten up the mood.
Jade's P.O.V
"Make a wish? I wish I didn't fall asleep like that!" I said freaking out. I was supposed to meet those government guys at midnight!Shit! I can't do anything right!
"You have to take me to see Dree." I yelled frantically.
"Okay, okay but I'm sure she's fine." He tired to reassure me.
"Now!" I shouted.
"Okay, okay!" He said with a look of get on his face.
Sorry Chandler. But I have to at least try and save my family.
On the way to his parents house, I couldn't stay still. I fingers were taping on the dashboard. I also developed a nasty twitch. Which scared the shit out of Chandler. If I wasn't so worried for Dree, I would have burst out laughing.
When we got there I barely knocked, I just burst through like I lived there. I ran to the guest room where my sister should be.
When I got to the door, I calmed my nerves down as much as I could. I reached for the doorknob and gripped it.
Turning it and pushed the door. I turned the light as quickly as I could.
I saw a drench coat on a feminine figure. She had Dree over her shoulder tied up and wearing a gag.
I lunched for the coat right as she jumped out the open window. I didn't hesitate to do the same thing she did, but hands grabbed me from behind.
"Don't jump out the window we're three stories up!" Chandler said.
"Let me go, she has my sister! If she can jump down I can too!" I wiggled out of his grip to see her scurrying out into the dark night. The last thing I saw was Dree's big green eyes looking at me for help, as her eyes watered. Her death date flashing now more than ever, her time is coming soon but I refuse to let it happen.
I hit the window sill with my fist. "Son of a bitch. They have her. And now my fucking fist hurts." I was about to break into tears when I remembered my plan with my dad. It gave me some hope. "Take me to my apartment. Please!" I pleaded Chandler.
He didn't say anything as he grabbed my hand and lead me to the car.
When we finally arrived I went to room, and found a note on my bed.
I'll give you another chance since that was the last time you'll see that boyfriend of yours. So meet us at the same place, or your sister is dead.
Giving me another chance was weak of them, but hey that gives me another chance to save my family. And that is exactly what I plan to do.
I dare someone to stop me.
