(Y/N's POV) - three days later

"Knock, knock!" I heard a deep voice say followed by giggles.

I groaned and got up. I took a quick look at the time.

3:13 am?

"Knock, knock!" The stranger repeated once again. I groaned and slurred myself to the door.

"What the hell are you doing, Gilinsky?"

"Oh hey, Y/N!" He yelled.

"Keep your damn volume down."

"Oh, oh sorry." He said whispering.

Jack smelled like alcohol and weed... It was three days after he confessed he still 'liked' me and I haven't stopped thinking about it.

Of course I didn't love Jack anymore, but the fact that he said that he's unhappy makes me feel bad for some reason.

I mean, he left me for some kind of sixteen year-old and if that hasn't said enough, then I don't know anymore.

Diego made me happy, really happy. He helped me through the break-up and he was just really kind. "Can I come in? I'm coming in." Jack said while breaking through me.

I furrowed my brows. "Where the hell were you?" I semi-whispered.

"I don't know, some kind of party the guys suggested." He said while playing around with my coat that was hanging on the wall.

"I'm gonna call Johnson for you and-"

"I think he went home with some kind of girl... Just like the other guys. I just couldn't find a girl because everytime I kiss someone,

I keep picturing your face in my head and then I walk away because I feel like I'm cheating on you, you know. Because you're my baby." I widened my eyes at what he just said. My baby?

"I am not-"

"Babe?" Diego came to join our little half-drunk hallway conversation. "Uh, Jack?"

"Are you cheating on me?" Jack slurred.

"What? Jack, this is my boyfriend. You are not my boyfriend." His gaze dropped and then turned to Diego who was looking absolutely unsatisfied with this situation.

"Him?"

"Leave him alone, Gilinsky." Jack clenched his jaw and walked passed us.

We followed and he sat down on my kitchen chair. "What's the deal with this guy?" Diego asked.

"No idea."

"Kick him out! I want sleep." He whined.

"That makes two of us... But I'm not going to kick him out! He might get hurt."

Diego groaned once again, but then showed a half smile. "You need help with that bastard?" We looked at Jack again who was playing with fruit.

"I'm good. Go to sleep." I said while kissing his cheek and messing up his already messy hair.

He gave me a tired smile and left to the bedroom again. I sighed and walked over to the sink to get water and Advil for him. "Drink." I insisted.

"Is it vodka?" He asked while examining the drink.

"No, water. You need to sober up so we can actually talk." Jack declined the drink the entire time. "If you're going to act like a fucking twelve year old, then get the fuck out." I pointed at the door.

He glared at me a little but eventually drank and got the medicine. "Good."

A couple of quiet minutes after I looked at Jack who was looking awfully tired. I sighed and got up. "Come here." I said while helping him to get up. God, he was heavy. Especially for a tiny girl like me.

He walked with me and I opened the door to the living room. Once we reached the couch, he slurred himself on it and made himself comfortable.

I walked away to get some blankets and a pillow. I didn't expect him to be awake, so I gently covered him in the blanket and put the pillow under his head. I would be a great mom.

I looked at him for a second. He looked so peaceful. But yet there was something still bothering him.

As I wanted to walk away I heard him mumbling some things. "I love you." His eyes were open and I saw him looking me right in my eyes.

"You don't."

"I do."

"You can't."
