Winter is a time of year that I wish wouldn't exist. The cold is something that I've always hated. Somehow though, when I'm with my best friend Calum it doesn't seem to bother me as much. Today, both Calum and I were trapped inside by a snow storm. The storm had been going on for hours and Calum and I were beginning to get bored, we had watched numerous movies, baked cookies and played a few games of hide and seek. By this time I am sitting on the couch just watching the fire roar with life. The orange and reds dancing around each other.

"Hey Emma, look! It's not snowing anymore!" Calum calls from the kitchen. I groan loudly as I get up from my comfy spot on the couch. I walk out into the kitchen where I see Calum leaning against the kitchen bench, watching the snow slowing right down. "It's so beautiful, isn't it?" I he sighs happily as he gazes outside.

"Meh, its cold and wet. Nothing to really call beautiful." I chuckle as I turn back around to go back to the couch. Suddenly I feel my weight being lifted up from the ground and being thrown over a shoulder. A shoulder which happens to belong to Calum. "Calum! Let me go!" I scream as I try to wriggle free. He doesn't take an notice of my screams. He just makes his way towards my front door. He opens it and walks out side, the cold air burning at my warm skin. He walks out onto the path which is covered in at least 6 inches of snow. "Cal, please? I said, let me go!"

"okay then, if you say so!" he laughs as he drops me into the cold and wet snow.
