Chapter 10: The day before tomorrow

The sun starts setting. Kyshimo and Kanoji head back to their base and as they approach their base, they see a man, standing and waiting for them, they walk up to the man and the man says - "So, you brought him back" Kyshimo anwsers - "I did, just as you ordered, sir" the man looks at Kanoji and says - "Oh, I'm sorry I haven't introduced myself to you have I?, well, I am Ryo, nice to meet you" he says while waiting Kanoji to give him a handshake and Kanoji says - "Who are you?" the man - "You're as cold as Kyshimo says you are, and to anwser your question, my father founded this organization a long time ago, so you could say I run this place" he says with a big smile on his face "Worthless piece of trash" - Kanoji thought to himself. Ryo looks at Kanoji's leg and says - "Are you okay? That looks like a serious injury" Kanoji - "I'm fine". The man points to the base and says - "Well, why don't we go inside?" they walk into the base and as soon as they do Arashi stands up from a chair he was sitting on and waiting and says - "Well, well, well look who came crawling back, you got lucky that time and now I want a rematc... and who the hell are you?" Arashi says pointing at the boss of the organization, the man anwsers - "I am the man who is in charge of this organization, nice to meet you" Arashi says shocked - "You don't mean The Ryo? The big boss?" Ryo anwsers - "That's me" Arashi - "I am so sorry sir" Ryo - "It's okay,Nevermind that, tomorrow your squad will have a mission, tell the others and get ready, you leave at 6 o'clock in the evening, Kyshimo will give the details tomorrow, go and get some rest" Arashi - "Y-Yes, sir" Ryo - "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to work, and Kyshimo show Kanoji to his room and Kyshimo, I will be waiting for the report on what happened" Kyshimo - "Understood" Arashi thinks to himself - "Why did the boss came out of his office? He never leaves, never noone knows how he looks except for a few people, did he came down just to see Kanoji? Why..." Kyshimo leads Kanoji to his room and as he opens the door he says - "Get some rest and I will see you tommorrow" Kanoji doesn't anwser and Kyshimo closes the door. The room is not big, just one bed in the middle, just as Kanoji prefers. Kanoji goes to sleep.It's Nightime and Kanoji hears someone open his door and slowly walk towards him. He pretends to be asleep and he feels someone sit besides him. He opens his eyes and sees long grey hair and realizes that it's Yanata. He sits in the bed and asks - "Why are you here?" Yanata anwsers - "I just came to see if you were alright, that's all" Kanoji - "Well I'm fine, so you can leave" Yanata says - "Want to go the roof? It's a full moon tonight" Kanoji - "The roof? Why would I want to go there?" Yanata - "Well, why not? It's not like you've been on the roof before" Kanoji - "Just let me sleep" Yanata - "Come on... Pretty please?" Kanoji knew that she wouldn't leave unless he goes to the roof a says - "Fine..." Yanata - "Yay!" she shouts, but Kanoji shuts her up by putting his hand on her mouth and says - "Keep your voice down unless you want to wake everyone up" Yanata blushes and nods. They leave the room and walk to the roof, it's dark, you could barely see where you were going. They walk up to the roof and Yanata says - "Well, what do you think? The view is beautifull tonight" Kanoji looks up to the moon and sees a plain white circle and thinks of how the empty the world is below his feet, just as up in the sky. Yanata grabs his hand and drags Kanoji toward the end of the roof. And Yanata says - "You know... The moon was just like this when the FCO took me in, I was 16... I went home late and my family was killed" she starts crying - "It was because... I... was... a Freak, it's all my fault, they were killed because of me" Kanoji asks - "How did you became a Freak? Yanta wipes off the tears and says - "They took me when I got in an accident when I was walking to school, I was 14 at the time, I lost my sight, I was taken to hospital and experimented on, after that, I went to some special place with Freaks just like me, there they trained us, one night, that place started burning and I escaped amist the chaos, but after I escaped I got reunited with my family again and thrn they came and killed them..." Kanoji says - "Well, your family is in better place than we are..." Yanata - "You're probably right, what about you? What's your story?" Kanoji - "I don't remember..." Yanata says - "We should get going now" Kanoji nods and as they were about to leave the roof Kanoji hears a houl, a wolf is houling. Kanoji asks - "Do you hear it?" Yanata - "Ohh, that... I hear it on nights like these, when there is full moon out, I think the wolf trying to reach someone" Kanoji sees the white shadow standing on the edge of the roof looking into the horizon, but doesn't think much of it and leaves. Meanwhile they were on the roof Kyshimo gave the report to Ryo about what happened today. Ryo reads through it and says - "So, they tried to take him? Huh? we cannot let them take him, and did he remember anything from going outside?" Kyshimo - "He didn't, sir" Ryo - "That's good... That's it for today, go get some rest" Kyshimo - "Yes,sir" Kyshimo leaves the room. Kanoji goes back to his room and says goodnight to Yanata.
