Percy woke up that morning before Ora did and went to the first floor to make breakfast for her and Ora.
When Ora awoke, she found that Percy wasn't in her bed and decided to open her screen doors in her room leading out to her large marble veranda. The view was so high off the ground that she could see a blanket of trees and rooftops. Percy lived in a nice neighborhood so down below she could see children riding their bicycles and elderly couples treating their lawns. So peaceful. But that peace was interrupted by a loud shriek from down the stairs. Ora sprinted carefully down the polished stairs and into the kitchen to find Percy holding a pan of burnt pancakes.
"Are you okay?!"
"I may or may not have started a fire in this pan."
Ora relaxed her shoulders, "cereal it is then."
After breakfast the girls got ready in Percy's large bathroom. It had two separate vanities, a shower, a bathtub, two sinks, and enough counter space to lay out a thanksgiving dinner. Getting ready in that bathroom was a dream and Ora and Percy preferred to do it to loud, upbeat music."So where are we going?"
Ora sat in the passenger seat of Percy's long red Nissan 370z. It was a gorgeous car and Percy could easily get away with speeding around town considering her father had friends in high places.
"I have to go bring Simon his lunch and I thought that we could stop by that pizzeria to make a surprise appearance for Klaus."
His name made Ora giggle. They'd been so close and intimate already but he still made her nervous. It would be difficult for her to ever get used to this new "relationship" thing or whatever it was.
Percy pulled her car up to the city's mall and her and Ora stepped out of the car. Percy held a large brown paper bag filled with food her maid had prepared for Simon while the girls had gotten ready.
Walking into that jewelry store was practically hell on earth. The lights were just bright enough to cause massive headaches and you could feel the heat off of the rotating display cases.
"Hey baby. Thanks for bringing me lunch."
Simon had just finished high school and was in the most committed relationship with Percy that Ora had ever seen. Not to mention he was in good work considering he worked at a very popular, high class jewelry store.
"Alright I love you baby, see you after work." Percy winked and blew one last kiss to Simon as she left the store.Walking into the pizzeria where Klaus worked made Ora immediately dread the decision to go there. She was so anxious, so nervous, what was she going to say when they made acknowledgement. But to her surprise she couldn't seem to spot Klaus anywhere. His car was parked out front so he was definitely working.
"You sit here and I will go order us some pizza."
Percy left Ora alone at a four-seated table to listen to the sounds of talkative people and screaming children. But suddenly two hands slid around her torso from behind her and lightly tickled her ribs. With one quick motion Ora flipped around and met the familiar brown eyes that she had craved so much.
"I missed you." Klaus lightly kissed Ora on the tip of her nose and mirrored her smile.
