Klaus worked so much faster knowing that Ora had her eyes locked on his every motion. She sat at the dirty table eating greasy pizza with Percy. It should have been dreadful, but focusing on Klaus made it exciting. Every five minutes or so Klaus would finish a task, run over to Ora and Percy's table, and hang on Ora. They would talk, hold hands, hold each other, or laugh uncontrollably at the stories Percy would tell. But after a while Percy got tired and wanted to go home.
"Do you want me to give you a ride Ora or do you want to stay here with Klaus?"
"Uh I will stay. Thanks for the sleepover and the visit here, Percy. See ya later."
As Percy waved goodbye to Ora, Klaus waited until nobody was looking to gently turn Ora's head and kiss her firmly on the lips. He pulled away quick though.
"What is it?"
"Come with me." Klaus made sure none of his co-workers saw him as he grabbed Ora's wrist and whisked her into the arcade area. It was evening now so the lights were off except for blue arcade machines, a large disco ball, and flashing lasers flaring across the room. Wild little children almost trampled Klaus and Ora as the ran under the curtain of a simulator game. Instead of turning on the game, they sat on the cold plastic bench and started to kiss and touch each other. It was dark and they couldn't see each other's faces or bodies. But the touching was so intense that they could feel each others positions, and that was enough for the moment.
Several minutes passed by until they were interrupted by a small blond headed boy with big blue eyes holding a tiny crane machine giraffe. His high pitched squeal caused Ora to burst out laughing. She grabbed Klaus' hand and they slipped out of the simulator game to avoid confrontation with the boy's angry mother. The couple headed over to a racing machine. Considering Klaus used to work in the arcade area of the pizzeria, he new how to glitch the game and give free plays to the user. Several rounds were played by Klaus and Ora, but they quickly lost interest from the tickling and reckless driving because the crane machine had caught Ora's eye.
Klaus dug a dozen quarters out of the pocket of his dirty uniform apron and slid one after another into the machine. Unfortunately he could not retrieve any stuffed animals from the machine by the time he ran out of quarters. Ora's face lit up again as she found a spare quarter in the pocket of her ripped jeans.
"One more try!" Ora shouted as she slipped it into the machine. With careful precession, Klaus dropped the claw to obtain not one but two matching stuffed zebras. One green and black, and the other blue and black. Their excitement was again interrupted by the stern expression of Klaus' boss."Sorry I got you in trouble today." Ora looked guilty as Klaus drove to Ora's house.
"Haha I don't mind. I honestly wouldn't care if I got fired from that stupid pizza place. I would like to come home from work without smelling like greasy pepperoni for once."
Ora giggled and stared at the side of Klaus' while he turned the corner to Ora's house.
"Thanks for the ride home." Ora smiled and waved goodbye. But Klaus caught her hand and pulled her ear close to his mouth.
"Keep your window open tonight, I'll be back." He whispered then sped off as soon as Ora shut the passenger door.
