What Cyborg had just said wasn't right. Why should Beast Boy worry about Terra's safety? No one else seemed bothered.

Granted, Beast Boy could understand everyone else's point of view. Starfire was still coming out of shock of losing Jennifer and still kept to herself for a time. Raven needed time to meditate in the hopes of acquiring useful insight for the group. Nightwing and Oracle busy trying to form a good plan for them to act on. Therefore, Beast Boy could understand why they had not spent as much time worrying about Terra as he had.

He could, however, be mad at Cyborg. The dude was suggesting he stop worrying about Terra and actually help. Didn't he see he was helping? He was making sure she didn't freak out through because of what she had gone through. How was that not helping?

What was more, Beast Boy could see no other way he could help. He wasn't like everyone else. He couldn't analyze technology, create a virus, or read blueprints. He had no idea what meditation was. He didn't even know what he should do when aliens suffered emotional trauma.

He was going to do what he did best. He was going to stick with what he knew what to do. He was going to make sure someone he was growing to become interested in from freaking out.

He found Terra just outside the guest room Oracle had let her use. As the sun rose higher its light seemed to reflect in her blonde hair. This was a sight Beast Boy found attracting.

He put on a straight face when she saw him. Something Beast Boy had not failed to notice: Terra seemed more relaxed around him. This was a good sign to Beast Boy.

He could remember how frightened and confused she had been when they had first met. After a tour around the tower, at least the parts of the tower which were not still under construction, she had calmed down considerably.

Then there had been that dinner from the night before. Although it had been a gloomy affair for them all, what with Nightwing and Starfire missing, Terra's joining them had made things more enjoyable for him. For the sake of the others, he did not make any bad jokes at dinner. Yet he found it nice to see Terra had looked over at him and smiled in his direction.

He was remembering all this when she smiled back at him as he made his way over to her door. As he got closer, he could she was happy to see him. However, she also seemed to be aware something was bothering him.

"Hi, Garfield. You okay?"

"Huh?" asked Beast Boy, his mind suddenly drifting back to his argument with Cyborg. "Oh yeah, I had a fight with my friend. I don't what got into him. We usually get on really well."

Terra didn't look too troubled. "The way I see it, it's not in everyone's character to not get into a fight with people, even their friends. I don't think you should let that bother you."

That was a weird point of view, Beast Boy felt. How was he supposed to respond to that? It just didn't feel right to mention they had argued about her. But what else could he say?

Choosing to just go along with the mood rather than speak his mind, he finally replied, "I hope so. It isn't easy when you get into those fights."

Terra looked a little distant. "I guess I wouldn't know. I never really had that many friends."

"Yeah, why is that?" asked Beast Boy, knowing her was crossing some dangerous waters. "Before we brought you here, you said you didn't live in the neighborhood. So were you doing there?"

Terra hesitated before she answered. It was clear she had never had this conversation before, let alone a teenaged boy with green skin. Not the kind of person you saw every day. Still, she seemed like she was opening up to someone for the first time.
