Resistance to the weapons cache was heavy. So heavy, Cyborg couldn't keep track of how many enemies he needed to fight through. It didn't matter, though, he would fight through them all to get to his destination.

Ignoring the hail of gunfire that came at him, he only charged into their ranks, returning fire with his own cannons. The result was the H.I.V.E. agents didn't land a dent, but Cyborg's attacks had more lasting damage.

After only three shots from his sonic cannon, over a dozen of the H.I.V.E.'s agents had been knocked aside like ragdolls. Any who remained did their best to retreat, but with no success. Moving with advanced athletic speed, Cyborg surged toward them and knocked the wind out of her.

And that was when he saw it, the door to the end of his objective. He knew what he had to do. Once he entered the building he had to go in and upload the virus into the power amplifier. Then it would just be a matter of taking out Brother Blood, assuming Terra didn't slaughter the others.

Don't think like that, Stone, he heard his conscience telling him. They can do it. They've got what it takes, and so do you. Then without further ado, he threw open the door to the power amplifier's location. What he saw made him gasp.

The machine was a lot bigger than he expected it to be. No, forget bigger, it was more complex that he thought it was. There were dozens of outlets all around the room, and all of them were plugged into the machine. In addition, each outlet was connected to one of the power-stealing guns.

As Cyborg got closer, he noticed that each of the guns had a small container holding the same red colored gas. This, he assumed were samples of Brother Blood's powers. Once they gave the machine enough power, the country would fall to Brother Blood.

"Time to end this once and for all," said Cyborg, advancing on the machine.

That was when something knocked his legs out from under him. As he fell, his eyes found Shimmer, who was glaring down at him. It seemed she had thrown a large slab of metal at him.

"Yes, it's time for me to finally avenge my brother's death. Now I shall end this, once and for all. And assuming Terra fails to kill your little green friend, then he'll be next."

"That's what you think!" cried Cyborg.

Flipping his arm to face Shimmer's face, he fired a blast of his sonic cannon. Shimmer only just moved out of the way. Flipping back toward the wall and out of the way, she moved into a battle stance.

By the time she had come to a stop, Cyborg had picked up the metal slab she had thrown at him and it in her direction. Only when it was halfway toward did Shimmer wave her hand, transmuting the slab into snow. She stood there for a moment, watching the snow melt away.

"That's what's going to happen to you at the end of the day," Shimmer informed her would-be victim. "But I am curious. How did you survive that EMP Cheshire hit you with?"

"A little lesson for you," replied Cyborg. "If you want to kill me, you'll have to tear me apart."

"Undoubtedly I will in the end," Shimmer mused. "But first, I'm going to have some fun."

And so they went at it again. As their battle continued to rage around the room, Cyborg knew Shimmer was only interested in revenge. However, both of them also knew that the longer they fought, the more power Brother Blood received. He had to end this soon.

Though he knew it might be an ineffective tactic, Cyborg fired two shots at the roof above them. The shots connected and rubble at Shimmer. She reacted just as he had predicted she would.

While she waved her hands and transmuted the rubble into vapor, Cyborg got into position. The moment she had turned to find Cyborg, he jumped and tackled her. Within seconds, her arms and legs were both pinned to the floor.
