Chapter 8

Auzzie's P.O.V

'Avengers please come to the meeting room.' "We’re in trouble," Tony said smirking. "Wow, don't be too sad about it Tony," I said sarcastically. "When did you turn into Alexis?" Tony argued back at me. "Don't bring my sister into the conversation about your stupidity," I argued back. "You’re the reason why this whole mess started." "No, your sister is the reason the whole thing started," Tony said back. "You should have told me that my sister was here", I told him back. "Well, um, she should have told you," he said back but it was weak. "Excuse me but they are waiting for us in the meeting room and I would like to know what it was about" Steve said. We walked towards the meeting room with Steve in between me and Tony. I think he was afraid that we would start a fight again. When we got there we saw Nat, Clint and Bruce sitting around a table, looking bored. We walked in quietly and sat down. "About time you got here, we have been waiting. I get that Tony is always late but Aussie and Steve, what were you too doing?" Clint asked smirking. Before I could reply Steve calmly said, "We were making sure you and Natasha had enough time to have your secret make out session." We all gawked at Steve. That was something we didn't expect him to say. "I don't know and I don't wanna know what I walked in on, so keep it to your selves" Fury said as he walked in. "Well Steve just came out and said …"his word got cut off when I slapped a hand over his mouth. "Thank you Auzzie now down to business, you guys are free for the next month to have free time and if you want to go to a place you call home then feel free." With that, Fury left. "Well before anyone leaves, I believe we should talk about grandpa and his little outburst," Tony said smirking. I glared at Tony and was about to tell them off when Steve said, "Tony, nobody wants to hear your voice. I would rather hear nails going down a black board." We all shared a look of shock while we stared at him. "Wow, are you okay?" I asked him. "Yeah I'm fine. Could come with me for a second please?" Steve asked me. I followed him out into the hall. We walked in silence till we got to his room. He held the door to his room open for me. I went in and sat on his bed, when he shut the door he followed and sat beside me. He looked nervous; he started fiddling with his hands. "Uh Steve is there something wrong?" I asked, looking to my hands that rested in my lap. "No, I was just, well you see how we are going to be let off for a month and well Tony offered us a place at the tower. I was wondering if you would like to, as long as you don't mind. I mean, it would be nice but I don't want to put pressure on you …." I put my hand on his mouth to stop him "Steve, your babbling, just ask what you need to ask" I told him taking my hand off his mouth. "Okay, whatiwasoingtoaskisifyouwouldliketogotothefairwithme?" he asked fast. He was looking into his lap again. I got up and walked to the door and opened it before I opened it I turned around and saw him staring at me. "Yes I would love to, I am going to pack" I answered with a huge smile on my face. "But how did you how?"  He asked looking so confused; he is so cute when he is confused. "My sisters do the same thing when they want to tell me what they broke when they are mucking around, I heard every word" I told him then walked to my room but not before seeing the biggest smile on his face. As I turned the corner about to go to my room Tony stopped me "so you and grandpa are going on a date, cute, can I come?" he asked. "No Tony and he never said it was a date," I said looking now at my very interesting pair of shoes. "Trust me he asked you on a date." Tony said leaning against the wall opposite to me with a smug look. "Aw do you feel left out I bet you would love to go on a date with Alexis." After I said this to him, his smug look faulted but turned into a smirk. "Please if I wanted to go out with your sister, I could have her like that," When he said 'that' he clicked his fingers. "Oh, you don't like her; I guess I will tell her not to bother because you’re not interested. Too bad, I believe she said your cute," I said to him I got off the wall I was leaning against and walked to my room. I was just about to open it when Tony stopped me. "She thinks I'm cute and she was interested?" He asked with a smile, it was a real smile. "Yes Tony but I didn't tell you," I said to him and walked into my room to pack my clothes. When I was done I heard a knock on the door. "It’s open," I yelled out. Natasha was there leaning against the door frame. "Tomorrow after we get settled in were going shopping for your date with Steve," She said. Then she turned around and left. I ran after her. "Do I get a choice?" I asked her. "Nope," she said still walking away.
