Chapter 11- Powers revealed

We walked to a nearby lake so I could show him my powers I hope I didn't freak him out. "Sit down by that tree and I will show you my secret". I told him than walked over to the water and bent down and touched the water swirling it around. "What are you doing? He asked. "This" I said and made a ball of water and held it in between us. His eyes went wide and his mouth dropped open. "This is why I believe Fury wants me but I'm not sure". I told him throwing the ball of water back into the lake. We stayed quite for a long time. "Are you going to say something or what?" I asked him afraid he'll think I'm a freak. "It's a lot to take in I mean that's pretty amazing that you can control water" he told me with a boyish grin. "Sorry it's just that I can't go with the flow like you" he says looking down. At that I lost it I was laughing so hard I could feel abbs coming on. He started laughing with me. While he wasn't looking I got the water and splashed him. "Sorry you looked like you needed to cool down" I said trying to look as innocent as possible. All of a sudden he ran at me and picked me up and jumped into the water. . I came up splashing "I can't swim" I yelled at him and pretended to drown. He quickly swam over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist to hold my head above the water. I jumped on to him to dunk him under the water. When he came up couching I couldn't hold in my laughter any more it was just so funny. "Wait you can swim" he asked looking shocked that I would lie to him. "I can control water and you thought I could drown, how cute" I said pinching his cheeks. He swam over to the bank and got out of the lake. "Where are you going?" I asked following him out. "It's getting dark and we need dry off and get back to base" he said like a soldier. "Yeah follow the rules like a soldier" I muttered under my breath "way to ruin the moment". "Did you say something?" he asked turning to look at me. "Nothing" I smiled at him and when he turned around again I dropped the smile and rolled my eyes. I used my powers to get all the water off me. We went back to the fair to leave and go back to the helicarrior. "How did you get dry so quick" he said I saw Natasha and Clint within hearing range and saw they quirked an eyebrow. "I have no idea what you are talking about." I said to him while climbing into the back of the S.H.I.E.L.D car. "Wait, what just happened" he asked hoping next to me while Nat and Clint got in the front. After driving for a while making jokes, the car swerved. "Clint you do know how to drive right?" I asked Clint when he swerved the car again. Steve leaned over and held me against the chair so I wouldn't move around too much. "I do the people behind me don't" he said as he swerved again. Natasha opened her window and started to shoot at the car behind us. "There are guns in the back" Natasha told us. So I learned into the back and opened up the container and grabbed two guns out and gave one to Steve and kept one for myself. I opened up the sun roof and started shooting at the car behind us. I heard a helicopter above us, so I looked up and saw a S.H.I.E.L.D helicopter above us shooting at the other car I sat back in the seat as Clint drove us to the side of the rode. Clint, Natasha, Steve and I all got out of the car and ran to the other car that had crashed into a tree on the side of the rode. I looked to my left and noticed that Clint had his bow and arrow, Steve had his shield and Natasha pulled out some different guns. We walked to the windows Clint yelled out it was going to blow as the engine was on fire Steve pulled me behind him and used his shield to protect us. My ears were ringing from the blast as we all slowly got up. "Are you alright?" Steve asked me. I nodded my head to indicate I was fine. We hoped back in the car and drove to the nearest S.H.I.E.L.D base to get into a jet to go to the Helicarrior.
