Forever and Always (a Katniss and Peeta fanfiction)

Chapter 6

I haven't had a voice for three days, My side prickles with pain whenever I walk, My hand feels broken, but I don't tell anybody about it. Peeta has locked himself up in his house. I watch him through the window sometimes, he isn't taking this easily.
I've had worse pain so I can't complain.

I hear the doorbell ring and I limp to the door. I open it and it's Peeta. I gulp. "Hi" I mouth. "Hi" he says back. He nervously looks around. "I'm really sorry about attacking you" he says. I nod. I suddenly just lose it. I start to cry. He hugs me and I cry into his shirt. I feel weak for crying in front of him. He doesn't say anything, he just holds me and strokes my hair.

I sink down to the floor and he does too. He holds me the whole time, even when I'm done crying. he rubs circles on my back and I nudge my head into his shirt.

I don't want to let him go but I realize that I have to after a while. I see that the sun has set. "Wi-will you st-stay?" I say the best I can. He nods. We stay like that for what felt like hours but was probably only an hour. I fell asleep though.


Peeta's POV


She calms down after a while. I let her sit in my lap and lay her head on my chest. I realize that she's lonely and is in a hard place. "Wi-will you st-stay?" she asks and then makes a face like it hurt to say that. I nod. After a while she falls asleep. I pick her up and carry her to bed. I lay down with her. I watch her for as long as I can manage then I fall asleep as well.


-1 week later-
Katniss' POV


I get up to go get the phone.
"Hello?" I say. "Hello, is katniss everdeen there?" "speaking" "hi katniss it's paylor" "hi" "I was calling to do a revote on the Capitol games" she says. "What's your vote, yes we do it or no we don't do it?" I think for a second. "I vote yes" I say. "Okay, I'll get back to you soon" "bye" I don't let her say goodbye back, I just hang up.
I wonder what Peeta said.



Sorry this chapter is so short, I've had a small writers block lately. the next chapter will be better and longer, I promise.
