C H A P T E R S E V E N T E E NAT THE MOMENT, PIPER WAS STUFFING HER FACE WITH CHOCOLATE COVERED CUPCAKES-MOST DEFINITELY RUINING ANNABETH'S DRESS- after Annabeth had gone off with Percy Jackson. Piper frowned. Percy Jackson and Annabeth had been friends since they were twelve and Piper had only known her since the last year of Middle School during summer camp so it was hard to compete with Percy Jackson. Did she mention he was cute? Piper couldn't blame her for wanting to spend time with Percy instead of her since she would have done the same if the tables were turned.
Not only did she have Annabeth not hang out with to worry about, Drew could not know she had come to her party without her permission or she kill her; wait worse, humane her in front of everyone and have a bunch of body guards kick her out. Okay, maybe there was a low chance of bodyguards doing such a thing but if she knew Drew, she would do anything to have her way.
Annabeth had managed to sneak her in through the hotel's lobby inside the ball room in the right wing through the crowd. Did she mention the crowd? Piper had no idea how many people there were in her school until she had spotted them all in this one-but grand-hotel.
"Piper, Percy and I are going now," Annabeth said to her as she glanced at Percy with a smile on her face as Percy kissed her cheek, gingerly. Piper emphasized to stick her finger in her mouth as she coughed.
"Percy?" Piper tapped her chin. "Wait,is it that kid who most definitely almost got you killed in Summer Camp after a bear chased after the two of you because you guys thought it would be a good idea to sneak outside in the middle of the night and eat food."
She recalled that memory since the entire campus was alerted to the cafeteria to stay calm. Of course it was hard to stay calm with the camp leaders of the cabin were doing anything but that. A smile grew on her face as she was reminded of the trouble Percy and Annabeth got into after they had snuck back into their cabins to be awaited by the counselor himself, giving them dish washer duty for a week's time.
"That was a one time thing," Percy protested. "besides, the weather outside was amazing and Annabeth was in to it."
"He did protect me even though I did get a twisted ankle." Annabeth admitted. "but I could have myself." She added it.
She turned her head to Percy. "We should do something crazy like that again."
Percy grinned. "Yeah,we should."
Piper widened her eyes. "halt, stop with the lunatic ideas!"
"Hey, we could have gotten into much worse trouble Piper. If I didn't stop her, she would have tried to kill the bear." Percy glanced at Annabeth as she put her hands up in defense.
"Annabeth," Piper frowned. "Dammit, I thought we had it going with the saving animals and wild life."
"Hey, I didn't kill the bear," Annabeth managed a shameful smile. "Oh, but I am guilty of trying to."
"I'm just glad you didn't die."
"Aw, I'm glad you didn't die either Percy!"
"Don't-don't do that in front of me you too." Piper protested as she kissed his cheek. "Your PDA is going to kill someone."
