{TEN MINUTES AGO}
Jason found Leo sitting alone on the bottom step. Leo had his elbows propped on his knee and his chin rested on his hand. His hair was in a mess and Jason could tell he raked his fingers in his hair because his hair were in different directions. Leo didn't look up when Jason came over. Jason propped down next to him.
"Hey, what's up?" Jason asked; managing a smile.
Leo grunted and turned his head the other way.
He opened his mouth to speak but he stopped himself. Jason wasn't like Leo. What was he thinking trying to make Leo feel better? Jason took a quiet breath.
"I heard you on the stage. You sounded um, unique." Jason lied; Leo sounded awful but the crowd enjoyed him. "Did I mention the girls? Dude, I could hear them screaming your name across the crowd? Bet Drew was jealous you were getting more attention then her in her own party."
"Doubt it." Leo muttered; looking up.
Jason grinned. "Don't be modest!"
Leo raised his head up. "I sounded awful."
"You did."
Leo punched him on the shoulder but Jason barely felt it.
He got up from the seat and Jason got up with him.
"So, do you feel okay now? Like, I can keep talking if you want?"
"Are you getting sappy?"
"No," Jason tensed. "I don't get sappy."
"Good Lord, you're such a softie." Leo shook his head; propping his arm on Jason's shoulder and patted him.
"I thought you were sad?" Jason frowned.
"Me, sad? No, I was just sleeping but thanks for all that? Helps my self-esteem!" Leo rubbed his tummy. "I'm going to eat some food."
"I said all that for no reason?"
"Aw, cheer up Jason you didn't do it for no reason." Leo shrugged.
"Liar. You were sad."
"No, I wasn't."
"Yes, you were! You just can't admit it!"
Jason expected him to blow up and get angry but he didn't. Instead, Leo grinned. He grinned and it made Jason angry instead.
"Okay, I was." Leo said with a wide smile.
Jason nodded his head and folded his arms.
"I knew it."
"Liar, you believed me. I am so good at acting."
"If you are then, I wasn't the liar. You were."
He was just glad to get over all that happened with him and Piper. Who needs girls anyways?Jason walked with Leo to toward the food and the two of them stacked their plates with three slices of pizza and two cupcakes. After all of that, they were stuffed but he was glad to spend some time with his friend. If only it could last.
