"Hey Shannon how'd visit go?" My mom asks as I'm walking in the door.

"Same," Casey adds while taking an apple out of the fridge.

"Wow, no hi Shannon how was the drive thank goodness you got home safely."

"Thank goodness my little sister didn't kill herself on the road," Casey says in a high and very dramatic voice,"There ya go, but how was Cammie really?"

"Actually the visit went great Mom," I say eyeing Casey, "She seemed like a really nice girl and I'm surprised at how quickly she as already remembered stuff."

"How exactly does that work?" Casey asks intrigued now.

"Well the doctors explained it to me as she will know pretty much everything she did before he accident, but she won't know why she knows it."

"Hmmm...," my mom frowns.

"She basically just doesn't remember any experiences," I say, "Remember the doctor explained it as loosing Episodic memory."

"Well what about the stuff you can only learn from experience, not a book persay?" Casey says.

"That's our job, or more mine I guess. To try and help her learn stuff you can only know through experience. The nurse gave me example of emotions. So no pressure at all."

"Yeah, if you fuck up she'll be a messed up person."

"CASEY!" my mom yells, "LANGUAGE!! And be nice to your sister this is a lot of pressure for her to have."

"Thanks mom, I only hope we'll be friends, because if we have conflicting personalities that'll be no fun. It'll also make it easier to get things across to her. But I also think some emotions are almost instinctual. Ya know?"

"Like when you see that cute boy across the room and your stomach drops," my sister explains, "No one teaches you to do that."

"Yeah...," I say leaving with something to think about.

"Oh and before you go, the doctor called while you were gone and said that Cammie would be ready to come home tomorrow."

"Thanks mom." I climb up the stairs and head toward my room intending to clean it before Cammie's here. Not that is matters she going to be staying in Casey's room.

'Why do I care, it's just more work for me. It would be so embarrassing though if she sees it dirty."

After making my bed and picking up most of the dirty clothes on the floor, I swear I try to put them away they never just quite make it, I look to the big chalkboard above my bed. It has various things written all over it: inspirational quotes, notes from my mom, little remarks from Casey, and a few thoughts I've written down. I decide to erase the quote; "Boys. I'd turn gay if they weren't so sexy," and write 'Welcome Cammie." In big fancy letters. I don't even know why the previous quote was up their. Probably because I found it meaningful some time ago.

'Boys are really stupid though, but again, sexy. Being sweaty all the time and acting 10 years younger than they actually are. Sure, really sexy.'

After finishing my new message I check my phone for the first time in a couple hours. I check the news and the first story that pops up is, "American Pharoah wins the Triple Crown, First in 37 Years! June 6, 2015." So horse racing, must be a slow day. I could text my friends, but I really don't have anyone that I'm super close to. I just moved to a new school this year, because my mom got a job at the school as an English teacher. Thinking about it I probably went to school with Cammie if Lee did with Casey, but we probably moved right before I would have noticed her. With that I decide it's getting kinda late so I watch one episode of The Walking Dead and fall asleep.
