London 6:30am
I sit in the waiting room for the council. I'll be alone with Gray in the same room with them. "Why so early?" I sigh. Gray chuckles. "It's better then being in traffic." He whispers. "That's true." I whisper. I was about to say something else until the lady that brought us here called my name. "Taylor Wilson." I cringe at my last name. I get up with Gray and we follow the lady through the door.
We get inside the council room which was a large table. The council was five men and one women. Each of them covered in black tattoos. They are all wearing black suits. "Sit Ms.Wilson." The one sitting at the head of the table says. Probably the leader. Where are there familiars? "Please, call me Taylor." I suggest. "Taylor why have you request the presence of the council?" The man asks. "It's about my parents. They were killed. I think I know who but I know you know more about with case." I say strong. "I am Calinem Sacoras. Head of the council. What happened to your parents do not con-" I stand up. "My parents were master and familiar. They had a relationship and you knew about it. It is a valuation in the law and you choose to take them out forcefully." I protest. They were liars. "You may not speak to the council like t-" I see the women put up her hand. "Leave." She orders. Was she speaking to me or- the council began to get up. Then they vacated the room. I was now left alone with her. "I'm Loreena Aserg. Assistant leader of this council. I know your file about your parents. We do not know the killer of your parents. The person in jail was for another reason. We had a council member taken off of the council years before I came here. His files do not exist no longer for me to tell you the name of him and the council members will not agree to tell you. Your killer might be him. I would stay out of this business. This is familiar and master affairs. Only the council can interfere with these issues in the principal." She says. Her voice seemed boomed. "So you saying I can't know about my parents death? Let me ask you a question do you know what it feels like to get ripped away from something so fast and then have it happen to you again and then your thrown into this world which you didn't even you were part of?" I ask. She rushes to my face and was centimeters away. "Do you know how a council member gets on the council?" She asks. "No..." I whisper. Gray pulls me back. "They have no one. They can't be with anyone.. my husband wanted to be on this council. He broke own marriage. Once he joined he was transferred somewhere else and died there. I was then thrown into this and was a substitution. Then I made it to the top of my branch." She mutters. "I'm sorry. I just want to know who killed my parents and get revenge." I whisper. "Thank you for your help. I need to be going back to school." I say gritting my teeth. I hate how I had to say sorry to her. I turn on my heel. "Its the same man. Who has been killing all your classmates. He killed your parents. He is now after familiars. We are trying to stop." She explains. "Thanks." I mutter before walking out of the room.
We get home. I'm glad I'm now calling the academy my home. I was now sitting in Mr.Jackels office. I told him everything about the council. "Do you think it's the ex council member?" I ask. "Maybe... He did know this school a lot. He went here." He explains. "hm. I'm going to avenge my parents death." I say. "I will take him down." I whisper. I hear the bell ring. "I need to go to class. See you later." I say getting up. "Bye Taylor." He says waving goodbye until I leave the room. I see Gray leaning against the wall. "Ready?" Gray asks. I nod. "Lets go." I whisper and then start walking ahead.
I sit down in my usual seat in familiarology class. The bell rings and everyone rushes in class. "Hello class." Mrs. Jackel yells to the class. "Today we will be learning about bonding and absorption of your familiar. Most of you here know about absorption of your familiars from your parents but ill go over it anyways." She explains. "Familiars are bonded to your soul usual when your born. Sometimes it can take years for that part of your soul to activate and show you your familiar. Since your familiar is bonded to your soul it's also bonded to you mind. If you die your soul and mind die which can conclude to your familiar dying." I feel Gray wince next to me. "Sometimes your familiar can only be bonded to your soul and when you die the familiar wouldn't die but they would lose a piece of their soul. You can also be bonded by heart. You mind, soul, and heart can be bonded to your familiar making it able to activate some higher magic. It is really rare for that to happen. Now does anyone here have a symbol of their familiar on them?" She asks. I blush. I slowly stand up. "Ms. Taylor. Anyone else?" She asks. No one else stands. "Please come up to the class along with your familiar." She says motioning me over to the front of the room. I slowly get up. Gray follows. We were now in front of the class. Welcome to show and tell class as I would call it. She puts out my arm. I hold it up. She looks at Gray. He nods. I was guessing she was asking him for permission. Gray takes off his shirt revealing his tattoos. Everyone stares at us with awe. I see Gray's tattoo. It was going from his wrist to his shoulder. Mine was only my forearm. He also had tattoos on his back, his other arm, and his torso. The one on his back was a phoenix. The one on his other arm was ravens. His torso was a tribal like pattern. Our tattoos were wolves. It was like mine but larger. My tattoo on him was a dark blue while the others was a faded black. "When the tattoo is a dark blue it means the master is alive. If it's a faded black or gray that means the master has... past." Everyone was whispering to each other. "Thank you for the demonstration." Mrs.Jackel says. Gray puts on his shirt and roles his shoulders. We sit back down. He was so tense next to me I thought he was going to pull something. I hear the bell ring. "Goodbye class. Tomorrow is Saturday so no school!" She yells happily. We get out of class and head to period 2.
"I will never learn this language! Why do you we need to know it anyways!?" I protest. Gray laughs. "To communicate to familiars if we summon them. It's also the familiar tongue. Old ancient artifacts are also in Unicroni." Gray explains. I sigh. "I'll help you. Most of the kids in the class learned from their parents." He scoffs. I giggle. We get to third period. There was other people wearing black clothes. I see the red tag. Upper class men. Why were they here? I hang my back pack on a hook. I finally got one. It was a simple leather black one. Then I sit on the mats with Gray. Once everyone was here we started to stretch. "Why are they here?" Francis whispers to me. "I don't know." I whisper back. Once we were done sketching we did some blocking. "Some upper-class men came and decided to help. They will be walking around giving you pointers." Mr Lascrest announces. I and Gray get into stance and begin fighting. I didn't think I was that bad compared to everyone else. Francis was really good at it. Jen was struggling. I punch towards Gray he blocks it easily. "Make sure to keep your arm firm." I hear someone say. I turn my head and see a tall boy. He had dark brown hair and green eyes. I punch again keeping my arm firm. "Good." He says patting my arm. "I'm George by the way." He says. "Taylor." I say. "The girl who knocked the upper-class men down with her winds." He whispers. "He was attacking my friend." I hiss. "That guy is a total jerk." He scoffs. Then he walks away. I punch and kick at Gray with a new feel. I see Mr.Jackel in the door way. He was laughing with Mr.Lascrest. He the says something else. Gray under kicks me to the ground making me fall. He puts his hand out and pulls me up whispering in my ear. "We are going on a mission today. Also pay attention." He says. He smiles. I roll my eyes and then Mr.Lascrest call us over. We walk over. Mr.Jackel nods at Gray. Are they secretly talking to each other? We walk through the halls until we get to Mr.Jackels office. He locks the door behind him. Then I see him relax. He sighs then he walks to his desks sits down.
"There was another murder. This time they took the students body and left it at a prison here in Liverpool called Altcourse." He explains. I shiver at a thought of entering the prison. "You'll be surrounded by policemen and masters." He adds. "Why do you want us to go?" I ask. "For the experience and you can identify what happened. You also know what happening around here. I can't go because I have to run the school of course and my assistant is out." He explains. "Ok. When do we leave?" I ask. "The car is outside. They will bring you to the prison. You'll meet the masters and policemen there." He says. I nod. Gray gets up and I follow. "Report back to me when your back." He whispers. I and gray say goodbye then leave. "I'll be right back." Gray says. He runs off and comes back changed into black jeans and a white shirt with a gray hoodie. "Your clothes are so boring and plain." I mutter. He chuckles. "But I look so attractive." He says with a pouty face. I roll my eyes. We get to the front of the academy. There was a black car. They roll down the windows. I see a man with black glasses. His hair spiked up in the front. "Are you Taylor?" He asks. There was a women next to him in the same uniform. She had blond long hair and brown eyes. "Yes." I answer. "Get in the car. We are your escort." He says. I open the door and hop in with Gray. I put on my seat belt. "I'm officer Hendes." The man says. "And I'm officer Carges." The women adds. "Hi." I whisper. "Have you been to a prison before?" They ask. I tense us. I open my mouth to answer until Gray speaks. "Yes she has." He says. He voice having a tone of end of discussion. "Well you'll be completely safe here. Mr.Jackel told us you were skilled in murders and identifying what happened?" He asks. "I guess so." I say quietly. My voice sounding so small. "She identified the boy's body from last week." Grays says. "That's good that we have you. No one could determine it. Our specialized people in this stuff are off doing other things so it's hard." He explains. How can it be hard for a cop? Aren't they trained in this stuff. "Now Taylor if you need to get out let us know and we can take you out right away. It's no big deal." Officer Carges adds on. I nod. "Thanks." I whisper. We stop in front a huge building. I feel a shiver go down my down spine. "Welcome to Altcourse Prison." Office Carges mutters. I ,Officer Carges ,and Gray get out of the car and enter the Prison.
