The #1 reason why I stop reading books on Wattpad: there are too many freaking errors that make the story hard to understand.

It's as if the author doesn't bother to edit their story/chapter before updating.

Fanfictions irk me when characters act nothing like their actual character in the book/movie.

All stories in general annoy me to no end when there are:
1) 50+ spelling mistakes.

2) Dialogue errors.
Example: "Hi fam", "Hi fam that was a lit party fam." If you want to write correct dialogue, start a new paragraph every time somebody else speaks. I don't give two bloody craps if you're on your phone and you're too lazy to start a new paragraph. Nobody will know who is talking!

3) Text slang/informal language involved. I'm not reading your text messages, so stop acting like that one person who says "OMG!" or "LOL!" every five seconds. It gets annoying after a bunch of times. The only time I'm okay with hearing "LOL" after somebody says some dark joke *cough* go read Mad as a Hatter *cough*

4) Grammar mistakes. ARE YOU YODA OR SOMETHING?

5) EVERYTHING IS JUST ONE BIG PARAGRAPH!

6) Excess use of '!' and '?' You're supposed to be teenage writers, so act your age. How hard is it to just write one '!' or '?' My English teacher would CRINGE if she saw these kinds of mistakes.

I'm not being mean, I'm being honest... well, maybe I'm being a LITTLE harsh. You know what they all say: Honesty is the best bloody policy. (You can tell I love British intensifiers).

If you're going to write like a 1st grader, then ask somebody decent to edit your work. Don't just assume your work is perfect since there is always room for improvement.

Heck, even I misspell words but I have some big phobia of messing up, so I pretty much torture myself into fixing the word(s)😅

Please do not torture us any longer.
