Oh my word.

I didn't realize how many character profiles there are on Wattpad, until today.

So, I was looking for good, well-written, non-cliché books, and I chanced upon a bunch of fanfics with character profiles.

Apparently character development is non-existent and not important:I

Just an example of a character profile I saw like... 5 seconds ago:
Name: Prettyface Malfoy
House: Slytherin
Love interest: Tom Riddle
Age: Same as Tom
Body: Thick thighs and curves in all the right places
Bra Size: Perfect C
Height: 5'7

Three problems with this:

1) "Thick thighs and curves in all the right places"
2) "Bra Size: Perfect C"
3) Tom can't fall in love (but who cares? apparently not the person writing the book...)

I know all about American beauty standards, and I have listened to "I'm All About That Bass" a billion times, fully aware the song means you need curves to be pretty. I also know that it's possible to have thick thighs and curves, and a C-sized bra.

It just annoys me so much when the Main Character has the most perfect body-.- A few months ago, I read a book where there was a female who was flat and didn't really have curves, but she was one of the most developed characters I've ever seen.

I applaud Kmbell92 for coming up with such great characters and examples that are better than these sports athletes and politicians that I'm forced to believe who are all good examples.

Imho, you and your character do not need curves or a big bust to be great or developed. All you need is a personality, and I assure you, your characters will be memorable.

My half-sister was flat and had no curves (she got implants at 16, though), yet she was funny, greedy, not too athletic, friendly, etc. And I still miss her personality (not so much the greedy part).

Tl;dr: Don't go making character profiles in the final product of your story.

Cheers,
