EIGHT

tyler woke up bright and early the day after josh had spent the night. he had a smile on his face as he made his bed. he immediately began cleaning the rest of his room so it'd be nice for when his boyfriend came over. he organized the books on his night stand and picked up all the cat toys from his floor.

tyler was extremely excited about his date with josh. he had it all planned out. he was going to take josh to dinner and a movie and then bring him back home to do other things. he wasn't sure what movie they'd see but he decided to let josh pick.

so tyler tidied up his room and once he was satisfied with it he went downstairs to get some food. he opened the fridge and grabbed a can of strawberry fanta. the boy wandered around his kitchen in search of something to eat when he decided to bake cookies. he knew that if he baked cookies he'd have something to eat and something for josh just in case dinner wasn't enough.

tyler mixed up the chocolate chip cookie dough and dropped spoonfuls onto a pan before sliding it into the oven. by the time he had finished eating the excess cookie dough, he decided to text josh.

tyler💫: jish

josh💕: ty

tyler💫: what time is r date

josh💕: like 6

tyler💫: alrighty you better be here by 6 then

josh💕: i will why would i ever miss a date with my beautiful boyfriend

tyler💫: yes call me beautiful shower me in compliments

josh💕: imma take that back then...

tyler💫: josh u betta not

josh💕: its too late ive taken it back

tyler💫: frick you smh

josh💕: ur so mean to me

tyler💫: AS IF

josh💕: ur alwys bulling me :((

tyler💫: im rolling my eyes so hard rn

josh💕: ok ok ill stop

tyler💫: thank god i was about to actualky bully you

josh💕: actualky

tyler💫: NOW IM BEING BULLIED STODP

josh💕: stodp

tyler💫: LEAVE ME ALONE

josh💕: lmao ok byeee

tyler💫: what no come back dont leave me alone i need u

josh💕: k im back

josh💕: actually i really do gotta leave, see u tonight tho

tyler💫: byeeyeyeyeye, see u inna couple of hours

tyler set down his phone in satisfaction and took his cookies out of the oven. he let them cool for a while before setting them on a plate and eating a few. to tyler, everything seemed to be going well, so he went upstairs and took a nap to pass the time.

when he woke up, it was 5:46 and it was almost time for his date. he quickly stood up and got dressed, making sure that he looked decent and smelled decent as well. he checked himself in the mirror and then happily walked downstairs. josh hadn't texted him yet but it was 6 so he would soon. so tyler waited on the couch, checking his phone every now and then.

at around 6:15, tyler was getting nervous. it's not like josh was stuck in traffic or something, all he had to do was walk across the street. so tyler decided to text him in case he was caught up in something and didn't realize the time.

tyler💫: y0

tyler💫: u said r date was at 6

tyler💫: well it's like past 6

tyler💫: and ur not here

tyler💫: even. tho. u. said. u. would. be.

tyler set down his phone with a huff and leaned back on the couch. maybe josh didn't forget. maybe it was just a cruel joke on tyler. tyler felt worried at this thought but brushed it off quickly. even if it was a joke, that just meant more cookies for tyler.

at around 7, the once happy boy stood up in frustration and went back into his room. he laid down on his bed and stared at the ceiling. josh couldn't have been pulling a prank on tyler, josh isn't like that. unless jenna put him up to it. tyler wondered if the two were really still together and if they were playing tyler as some sort of sick joke. this made tyler cry. he cried because he felt betrayed and stupid. he knew he shouldn't have let his feelings get the best of him but he let them anyway.

but a little while later, tyler realized none of it was his fault. he can't help his emotions, so he let himself cry because it was his failed date and he was gonna cry if he wanted to. he even lit a few candles and closed his blinds before burying himself under blankets to set the mood for his saddened state.

his room was no longer perfect for a date but now it was perfect for a pity party. and he planned on crying the whole time. the whole situation seemed a bit pathetic so in the midst of his sobbing he couldn't help but let out a few laughs.

tyler cried a lot that night, he cried to the point where his whole body ached and he felt like he was dying. his heart was broken and he felt stupid and pathetic. he had no idea what to do to make himself feel better so he just continued crying. he didn't know when he'd stop but he knew it wasn't soon.

eventually, the sad boy fell asleep and dreamt of everyone, including josh, laughing at him as he cried.
