tyler woke up the next morning feeling horrible. he checked his phone and saw a string of texts from josh but tyler wasn't in the mood for him so he ignored each one. he just stared at the ceiling.

tyler didn't have anyone at this point and that made him feel even worse about himself. he really didn't have many options to cure his loneliness but he needed to do something. so he went for the easiest option. going back to sleep. which he would've done had he not gotten even more texts. the brunette ignored the first two but decided it wouldn't hurt to see who it was from, it could be his mom telling him she's going grocery shopping or something.

jenna: tyler

jenna: i messed up

jenna: some of the things i said were really wrong and horrible and we've been friends for so long i dont want it to just end now

tyler: oh um ok

tyler: so i guess we're friends again

jenna: yes

jenna: i missed u

tyler: same, its a lot lonelier without you

jenna: do u wanna come over??

tyler: yeah sure ill be over in a little

tyler got up from bed and slid on a hoodie over his sweatpants before walking down the stairs, bumping into his sister.

"tyler, have you seen dad," she asked, slightly concerned.

"no, this is the longest he's ever been gone," tyler mumbled in response.

"do you think we should report it," madison asked, pulling out her phone.

"yeah, we probably should," tyler agreed, stepping around his sister to continue going downstairs.

"wait," she yelped, pulling tyler back and dragging him into her room. "so, i'm sorry i broke your flower crown or whatever a while ago, so i got you a new one." the younger girl dug through her drawers before pulling out a bag and handing it to tyler.

"wow, um thanks," tyler took the bag and opened it. he pulled out his new flower crown before setting it on his head with a smile. this one had soft purple flowers and dark green leaves surrounding each one and it was almost prettier than the one madison first destroyed. happily, tyler walked out of her room and continued on his way downstairs.

the boy asked his mom for a ride to jenna's house and she agreed, unaware of their recent falling out. although tyler was glad he had his friend back, he still felt sick about the whole thing. jenna had said some horrible things to and about tyler and he knew he shouldn't have been going back to her. he felt like he was basically saying it was okay for her to treat him badly by returning back to her. but tyler had no one else and he made the poor decision of trying to work things out with her. if tyler was still talking to josh, he would've probably told jenna off but he didn't and so now he was walking into jenna's house.

"so, what've you been up to," jenna started, the two just sitting in her living room with the tv playing in the background.

"oh, just sleeping, the usual," tyler responded, the subject of josh too painful and embarrassing to even mention. "you?"
