This is an AU (alternate universe) for The Lunar Chronicles. It is set in the present day at a high school in America. It will have the same characters as the original books, and it will have elements of the plot. Credit for all of that goes to Marissa Meyer. She wrote this lovely series.
Even though some things will be the same, many other things will be different. Not all of the characters that die in the books will die (yay!?), and some will die a different death at a different time than stated in the book. The conflict in the story is different because the antagonist isn't exactly who you think it is...well, sort of. Not all characters are included.
The ages of the characters will be different from the books. Also, the names may be different than what you're used to seeing. Keep in mind that this is set in the United States.
Because this is set in the modern era, many futuristic elements from the books will not exist. This book is supposed to be plausible. That being said, a few things might not be realistic just so I can keep this story in line with the books (*cough* medical conditions).
The main plot of the story will be "TLC HS," which I know is kind of cliché, but trust me when I say that things will be different. I've read some high school AUs where the plot is very similar to the books and some where it is nowhere near similar to it. This will be somewhere in the middle.
I wanted to write out this note so that you don't go and comment about how someone shouldn't be doing this or how they should be dead. Don't worry, I've got a plan.
