Cinder POV

“No, I can’t do it,” I sighed for the fiftieth time today.

“Please! Cinder please!! We need you to be Sally! No one else can sing like that with Crispin,” Kalea yelled. We were sitting on the field watching Crispin’s gym class play soccer. He turned his head when Kalea yelled and nervously waved at us.

“I can’t Kalea. Can’t you sing with him?” I asked, plucking a blade of grass and twisting it between my finger and thumb. She glared at me,

“No I can’t. Don’t you get it Cinder? We’ve put the play off for so long because nobody sounded right with him. Everybody else knows their lines and could do them in their sleep, even me. It’s just him and his Sally, because he couldn’t find one then you flew in and are fucking perfect!” She squeaked.

I sighed. It wasn’t possible for me to do it. No way, no how, right? Unless I...

“I’ll talk with my parents okay?” I said. Kalea clapped her hands excitedly and threw a thumbs up to.

“I haven’t even said yes yet!” I yelped. Kalea whacked me on the shoulder and I flinched and saw Crispin said a death glare to his friend. He sees right through me.

                        *************

    “M-Monsieur?”

I stood before him in my living room, the first time I’ve spoken to him all week. He smiled up at me from his place on the couch and nodded his head to permit me to speak.

“I ne-eed a f-favor,” I whispered. Monsieur pushed himself to his feet and laid a hand on my shoulder.

“This favor would be...?” he breathed in my ear. I shuttered and he chuckled.

“I-I need to do th-the musical,”

“Oh and let me guess, you want me to lie to your parents for you. Tell them you’re with me?” he asked knowingly.

    I nodded.

“Well, if I was to lie for you, what would I be getting out of it? Hm Cinder?”

He grabbed my chin and forced me to look up at him.

“I’ll d-do whatever you w-wa-want,” I stuttered. He purred and released my face to grab my arms.

“Oh really, Cinder baby? There’s a rehearsal after school tomorrow you know. So if I were you I’d start convincing me to let you stay,” he muttered. I bowed my head. He laughed and pulled me towards him. He picked me up and carried me to the guest room where he slept. He opened the door and set me down on the floor.

“Get on the bed,” he hissed. I winced back but obeyed and crawled onto his bed, amongst the mounds of blankets. He walked over to his closet and pulled out a medium sized black suite case. He turned back to me and tossed the case on the bed in front of me. He motioned for me to open it. When I did my breath came in sharply and my chest tightened.

“Don’t you like my collection?” Monsieur growled from behind me. In the case was everything a sadist could want. Whips, handcuffs, gags, strips of strange material and metal pieces, and so much more.

Monsieur slipped his hands up the back of my shirt and his fingernails bit into the bare skin of my shoulders.

“ I don’t get to use my toys often,” he rasped as he ripped his nails down my back. I gasped slightly at the sting. “This would be a good way to repay the favor,”
