An amber alert had been, against Olivia's wants, sent out to the entire state of New York. Though those in Nicole's old town would never see it.

They waited. The entire precinct was practically on shutdown for two hours. There were calls, but Olivia felt in her gut that Nicole was not at the sightings that anonymous callers listed.

After the third call was a bust, Olivia couldn't take it anymore. She marched right into Cragen's office, successfully scaring the shit out of him.

"We have to do something! These calls are doing nothing! Just like I said!"

"Okay, Olivia. We are. Have you talked to your old squad?"

"What for?"

"For to see if they have seen her? I figured you would have-"

Olivia was already out of the room, scrolling through her contacts at a horrifically fast pace. She finally stopped at the R's, finding her old partner's name, and hitting "call".

After two rings, he answered.

"Livie? What's the matter?"

Hearing his voice, her old nickname, it brought her back in time. She stood frozen for a moment, not knowing what to say.

"Olivia? You there?"

"Oh, um, yeah," she choked out, regaining her voice. "Nicole ran away. Have you seen her?"

"She ran away?! When?"

"We aren't sure. Sometime today. We were all so busy and half of us weren't even home and then we thought she was at therapy and she wasn't and nobody has found her. The amber alert-"

"When did you realize she was missing?"

"At around 8 or 9."

"It's almost two in the morning and you didn't think to call me?!"

His accusatory tone - though not intentional - brought tears to her eyes. "I'm sorry. We- I mean I- I don't know. I can't even fucking think straight-"

"I'll tell the squad now. You said there's an amber alert set out, right?"

"Uh huh," Olivia said, not realizing there wasn't one in New Jersey.

"Okay. We'll find her."

They exchanged a few more words and then hung up. Olivia was still a mess, but having a second SVU looking for Nicole made her feel better.

"Hey, Mom?"

"What is it, sweetie?"

"Me and Nicole are going out, is that okay?"

"Where?"

"Just Bree's."

"Okay, ladies, have fun."

Nicole watched in amazement as Monica strolled away from her mother's office. Her mom didn't even look up from her computer and she got permission to go out!

"See? Piece of cake."

"My god I couldn't even imagine my parents being that way."
