Chapter 6

Danii POV
I smiled as I got up early in the morning. I was actually woken up by King's shuffling around. "Good morning King...", I smiled at him. "Oh! S-sorry! I didn't mean to wake you up, Danii...", he said flustered. "No, no, it's fine. I probably need to get up anyways..."

I got up & went into the bathroom to get into my clothes. Same clothes as yesterday. Wow, this is really what anime characters do... I honestly wore my shirt inside out though. The inside was just black, anyway, & I think that would be better than wearing a shirt that said "I mourn the deaths of fictional characters" to the Kings ceremony. I put on my TATINOF pass & LGBTQ+ bracelet, but I actually decided to leave my hat behind today. I simply set it on King's hammock.

Then I went over to wake up Maeve & Ban. I wouldn't want them being late! I shook Ban awake. "Whaaaat?", he groaned as he awoke. "Wake up Maeve, will ya? I'm going to go borrow Diane & Elizabeth's make up kit", I told him as I walked off.

Maeve POV

I groaned as I had to get up early in the morning. There was no way Danii or Ban were going to let me sleep in on the day of the ceremony. They probably wanted me to be able to see the Seven Deadly Sins on stage. Or pedestal. Whatever they were going to stand on.

"Come on, wakey wakey~", Ban cooed as he shook me likely. I gave him a dead look. "You act like I'm a morning person", I said. "We just met yesterday", he replied. I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. Could you pass me my clothes?" Ban tossed my clothes at me. "Lazy bug..." I gave him a confused look. "What type of insult is that?" He shrugged. I just shrugged it off, went into the bathroom & changed.

"Hey, why don't you like make up & stuff like Danii, Diane, & Elizabeth?", Ban asked as I came out. I shrugged. "I just don't. Are you saying I should?" "No, just wondering. Since you & Danii are best friends & Danii went to get make up, I just wondered..." "Yeah, but Danii loves eyeliner & probably just went to get that on"

Sure enough, when I got down stairs, Danii had a lot of eyeliner on, with massive wings. "Hey, remember when we were hanging around Brandon & them, & I said you were gonna get cancer from eyeliner?", I asked jokingly. "Oh yeah", Danii laughed. "Just watch I probably am..." "What? Danii is going to get cancer?!", Elizabeth exclaimed, concerned. "Don't worry Elizabeth, it's just a joke", Danii reassured her.

"I do not believe it is possible to get cancer from eyeliner", Gowther said as he joined us. Danii just looked at him for a moment, then said, "I'm doing your make up when we get back" "DANII NO", I yelled. "Okay", Gowther said in his emotionless, content tone. I sighed. "Dammit Danii..."

[ Time skip. Blame fairy Helbram. ]

King POV

It was after the ceremony, & I was floating around near the festival area looking for Danii. Danii & Maeve had gone off to find some food together. I knew that festival time was a time for people to ask people they like to the festival. Even though I swore I liked Diane, I wanted to ask Danii instead...

"Yo", came a voice from behind me. I jumped & turned around to see Ban. "Don't scare me like that!", I yelled. "Sorry sorry", he smirked as he pulled me close. "Listen, I know you're into Danii. Ask her to the festival" "Wha- I- bu- you- I- uh-" I thought for a moment. 'Aha!'

"Okay, I will", I said. "And when I do, you ask Maeve" Ban's eyes widened a little. "What?" "You're into Maeve. Don't ask like you're not!" Ban paused for a moment. "Okay, you got me. I'll ask her" I pumped my fist into the air as a sign of victory. "Alright! Now we just have to find them..."
