Chapter 11

Third Person POV

A few more days passed. Danii & Maeve's training had been going really well. They may not be the best, but they can hold themselves up in a fight. At this point, Meliodas figured it was time to make an important decision.

He called everyone downstairs for a meeting. "Alright!", he began. "We've all been relaxing for a few days as we let our new guests settle in, but it's about time we make a move. Danii & Maeve can fend for themselves, & we need to find Escanor!"

"But, Captain!", Diane interrupted. "What if they have to go back for something again?" "I asked Merlin about that", he replied. "She has confirmed that they can come & go whenever they please as long as they have access to Oslo"

"Yeah Captain, I've got some news", Ban said. Danii looked at Maeve. Surely Maeve hadn't forgotten, right?

That Ban is going to leave the Seven Deadly Sins for a while to check on the Fairy King's forest. He planted it himself not too long after Elaine died. When she died, she gave Ban the last seed in the forest, & told him to plant it.

"I got something to do, & I gotta leave the Seven Deadly Sins for a little while. Nothing personal", he said. Maeve's eyes widened as she realized what he had just said. "I'm coming with you", she looked up at him. "No you're not", Ban said, looking down at Maeve. "I'm not letting you get hurt" "Too bad"

"Ban, what the hell?!", King questioned. "Do you really wanna take our sin count down from 6 to 5?!" "Yeah. I'll be back" Meliodas face turned from his usual, happy, & somewhat bubbly mood to red hot anger. "No way man. You can't just leave!", he yelled. "Not without me at least", Maeve chuckled even though she was completely serious.

"C'mon captain, I gotta do what I gotta do", said Ban. Meliodas stepped up close to him & looked him dead in the face. "No. It can wait. We need to find Escanor"

It was then that Ban picked up him & threw him away from the Boar Hat. He then ran after him, & proceeded to start a fight!

"Guys, no!", yelled Diane. "Why do you have to duke it out now?!" "Hey! Stop it!", King said as he quickly flew over there to try & stop the commotion.

"No! Don't go!", Danii said & ran after King. "Augh, no Danii, you don't go! You're not strong enough to survive in the midst of those three!", Maeve said as she ran after Danii.

They were running toward the battle when...

Danii POV

"OUCH!!", I yelled as I fell. I looked down at my foot to see a bruise forming. I felt pain shooting through my ankle, & it was all too familiar, because I had done this 7 times before.

I had just sprained my ankle.

I didn't want it to get too swollen, & I knew what to do. "ICE!! I NEED SOME ICE OVER HERE!!", I began yelling. I looked up to see Elizabeth & Hawk running into the Boat Hat to get some ice. I looked ahead of me to see Maeve running into the fight. "M-MAEVE!", I yelled through the pain. "Y-YOU'RE NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO SURVIVE IN THERE E-EITHER!"

Maeve POV

It was too late. I could hear Danii yelling at me, but I didn't care. Not only did I need to stop Ban from fighting, but I also needed to convince him to let me go with him.

I knew where he was going. Of course, I couldn't let him know that, but I knew he was going to check on the Fairy King's forest. I knew I could survive that trip.

I ran up behind Ban & wrapped my arms around his wait. "STOP! STOP THIS SHIT RIGHT NOW!" I yelled angrily. Ban shoved me off him really hard. I feel & slid across the ground. The skin on my arm got scraped really badly & there was a lot of blood. "B-Ban..."

Ban POV

I was engulfed in rage at the captain right now. Why wouldn't he let me go?! I felt someone wrap their arms around me & yell at me to stop. In mindless rage, I shoved them off me really hard. Then they said my name again, & I realized who it was.

It was Maeve.

There was a lot of blood coming from her arm, which seemed to have been scraped or something.

I turned & stopped everything just so I could lean down & grab her. I was holding her. "Oh my god... I'm so sorry...", I said. "I-it's okay Ban...", she said. "I know how you get when you're angry. B-but, this does... hurt like hell. Could you patch me up?" "Of course", I picked her up & began carrying her to the Boar Hat.

I saw Danii lying on the ground. Elizabeth & Hawk were running to her with some ice. I noticed that King still hadn't noticed yet that Danii was also injured.

"Hey, King. Look behind you why don't ya?"

King POV

I glared at Ban, but then turned around to see Danii lying on the ground, injured! Elizabeth & Hawk were coming to her with some ice. My eyes widened as I quickly flew down to her. "I'm so sorry I let this happen!", I said. I felt a tear run down my face. "Why can't I ever protect who I love...", I mumbled to myself under my breath.

"Hey... it's okay", Danii adjusted the ice on her ankle. "It's just a sprained ankle. I've had this happen like 7 times before. I know I can handle it. Please, don't stress" She smiled after saying that phrase. I sighed. "Okay... I'll carry you up to the hammock so you can get some rest", I began floating with her in my arms back to the Boar Hat. "Thank you, King", she smiled & kissed my cheek. I felt the blush rush up to my face.

[ About (o̸n̸e̸ l̸a̸z̸y̸ w̸r̸i̸t̸e̸r̸) half an hour later or so ]

Danii POV

I was laying with King in the hammock. I had ice on my ankle & I was telling him about various times before where I had sprained my ankle. He chuckled. "I guess you're kinda clumsy, huh?" "Yeah, I am", I laughed. "It's no big deal though"

A moment of silence pass. Then, I realized I had something important to ask him about. "Hey, King. So... when you come into my world, all my friends there are probably going to consider you my boyfriend or something" "Yeah? And?"

Then it hit him that he hadn't officially asked me out yet. "Well", he then *ahemed*. "Danii, would you like to be my girlfriend?" I chuckled & smiled. "Yeah, dork" "Great! Now we have nothing to worry about", a cheerful look appeared on his face. "But don't call me dork" I laughed. "Okay"

Maeve POV

Ban had just gotten done patching up my injuries a little while ago. We were now laying together & cuddling on Meliodas' bed. Meliodas decided to let us use his room to patch me up. The others were downstairs.

"Hey", I said, breaking the silence. "What?", Ban replied. "So, like, when we go into my world, my friends are gonna wonder if were dating" Ban looked down at me with a smirk. "Well, do you wanna be my girlfriend?", he asked. I smiled. "Yes. Yes I do" He leaned down & kissed me. I felt my heart melt as my face heated up. 'That was amazing...' I thought.

"By the way, I am unbelievably sorry about earlier", he said. "It's ok. I know" We had another moment of silence. "How about we just take over Meliodas room for the night?", he asked. I chuckled. "Yeah, let's do it" We then dozed off together.
