"I don't know what you've done to Kelly." he chokes "But I won't let you get away with it." The character lets out a chuckle and pushes John roughly back toward the entrance.
"It is Kelly silly!" She shouts and claps turning on the lights as he turns around to her. "Don't you recognize my voice by now? I mean it has only been 6 years." she teases him. John stands there trying to control his breathing his forehead drizzled with sweat. He couldn't believe he had fallen for that trick... Again.
"That's not funny Kelly, you really scared me." John pouts but can't help but smile. He was standing right in front of his crush, alone. Anyone would be just a little happy.
"Only for like the hundredth time John. Still not used to it I see. Your heart was beating so fast it made me breathe heavier." she laughs and playfully punches him in the arm. He tries to contain a wince but Kelly see's through his wimpish demeanor.
"Well you can't expect me to get used to it when you keep changing it up." John blushed and tried to avoid her gaze.
"Don't expect it to stop changing either. Just get with it fool." She says in one of the cartoonish voices she loves to use. "Hey so why are you here anyway? Did you come for some delicious Kelly cake?" She giggled and wiggled her hips at him.
"Oh! No. I uh. I-"
"We came because we found something awesome and thought we'd bring you along to try it out!" Billy came running through Kelly's still open door and stood next to John smirking at him.
"What do you mean found something awesome? Like a dead body? Brand new video game? Dead body?" she opens her eyes with more excitement as she says the last part over staring at Billy.
"No even better!"
"What can be better than finding a dead body!?" Kelly screams. Kelly has always been a loud one. The loudest of all her friends and the most outgoing. She's a dark skinned, slim, tall girl with long, slick black hair that she dyed occasionally. She was always a jokester, she enjoyed pranks and making people jump out of their skin. And most things that people would cringe at she loved. Like zombies, extremely gory horror movies, dead animals in the road (which also made her skin crawl but she couldn't let her wimpy male companions know that.) and lots more things that make people wonder whats wrong with her. But beside all that she didn't really care what other people thought of her. As long as she was having fun.
"I'll tell you what's better than finding a dead body!" Billy shouted back. Then he reached in his backpack and pulled the sphere out practically shoving it into Kelly's face.
"What exactly am I looking at? You found an oversized yoyo?" She stared disappointed at the object.
"Billy, maybe you should show her what it does?" John said gratuitously.
"Oh. Right. Okay Kelly what is something you've always wanted?" Billy pulled the sphere back.
"Pizza!"
"That's it?"
"In the shape of a skull. No pizza place will do it for me."
"Okay maybe once you see it you'll aim higher next time." Billy said and opened up the sphere, beginning to type. Kelly raised an eyebrow and stepped back.
"So it's a rounded laptop?" She said her voice starting to sound shaky.
"Shh!" Billy closed the sphere, put it back in his backpack and looked at the door.
"I'm sure it's gonna take at least twenty minutes for the pizza guy to get here. Not to mention the time it would take to make it?"
"Kelly, shush!" Billy says in a childlike tone. "Just like John." he mutters. Then a huge truck pulls up in front of her house with a skull painted on the side. Billy smirks at Kelly who is in the doorway mouth agape. Then the side of the truck opens up and a tube slowly emerges.
