Kelly jumps on an ugly looking possum and collected a coin that popped out.
"Hey Kelly!" Billy ran up and put his hand on Kelly's shoulder. Surprised, she flipped him over her shoulder. Billy cried out and landed with an "oof!" Then Kelly clamped her hands over her mouth when she saw him.
"Oh my gosh Billy! Don't scare me like that!" Kelly reached down and grabbed Billy's hand pulling him up onto his feet. She was running through this entire level at top speed and was having so much fun that she had forgotten about him.
"It's okay, just try not to hurt me too bad next time." Billy said standing up and dusting himself off. "You took out almost the entire board already."
Kelly glanced back and laughed at herself. "I guess I did. Time for the boss battle." Kelly said as she turned to the Dungeon behind her. Then she slowly stepped toward it, but Billy grabbed her arm stopping her.
"Wait shouldn't we wait for John?" Billy shouted
"What do you mean wait for John?" She asked with a sneer.
"He's still sitting in the limo. He said he would catch up to us."
"No we're not waiting for John! Billy he is so mean to you I don't see how you sit and put up with that." Kelly said as she sucked her teeth and pulled out of his grip.
"But that's just the way he is Kelly. I don't think he really meant anything by it." Billy said softly as he looked down not sounding completely sure of himself.
"No Billy, because if that were the case then he would have said that." Kelly walked to the dungeon and held her hand to the door. "Now are you going to come with me or wait for John? It's not like there are a lot of turns in a 2D scroller. If he wants to find us all he has to do is walk straight."
"I guess you're right. But I still don't like leaving him." Billy walked to Kelly's side.
"I can respect that Billy. But he'll find us. Now are you ready for a real challenge?" Kelly smiled as she got ready to open the door, tightening her grip on the handle.
"Wait! Kelly but... Okay I know this level was cleared easily for you. But the Boss is always really hard for you. You haven't been able to beat it without dying at least once."
"Yeah, so?" Kelly raised an eyebrow at a now even more worried looking Billy.
"We still don't know what happens if you die in the game! I don't want anything really bad to happen."
"Well, we are just going to have to wing it my paranoid partner." Kelly ruffled Billy's hair and opened up the door stepping inside as Billy slowly followed, checking behind him again one last time hoping to catch a glimpse of his best friend running after them.
