Addiction

Chapter 3

Finally the bell rang and I headed to my locker. I saw Kyle standing there. He lives down the street from me we walk home together everyday.

"How was math" he asked

"Sucked as usual. How was English" I said

"Sucked as usual" he said mocking me. We both laughed.

We walked outside and ran into the rest of the group

"See you guys later" me and Kyle said

"See you later love birds" Blake said

He always says that and it pissed me off.

I was about to say something but Kyle stopped me and we headed home.

"Why do we even hangout with him he's a prick" I yelled once we were far enough away

"I don't know but you just have to ignore him." Kyle said grabbing my hand.

"He's fucking annoying" I said

"I know just ignore him" Kyle said

I didn't say anything we just walked the rest of the way home.

"Pick you up at like 6:30" Kyle asked once we approached my house

"Yeah" I said hugging him.

I stayed in his arms for awhile and squeezed him. I felt safe with him.

"You Okay" he asked

"Yes" I said still squeezing him.

"Are you sure. You never hug me this long" he chuckled.

"I'm fine. Just a bad day and I needed a hug" I said pulling away

"As long as your alright" he smiled.

"I'm fine I'll see you later" I said walking into the house.

I kicked my shoes off, sat on the couch and scrolled through my phone. My mom was at work and Jonah was still at school.

After sitting there for an hour watching tv and scrolling through my phone Jonah walked in.

"How was school" I asked

"Fine" he said walking into the kitchen.

We used to be really close now we aren't and it's my fault.

My phone buzzed and it was a text from Riley.

Riley
Come over now I'm hella bored

Me
My mom has the car

Riley
I'll come pick you up.

Me
Okay

I walked upstairs and put a bag together just in case I decided to sleep there. Once I had all my stuff I looked into jonahs room.

"I'm going out mom should be home soon. You gonna be okay" I asked

"Yup" he said paying attention to his video games.

I sighed and walked back downstairs

I texted Kyle and told him I was going to Riley's early and I'd just see him there. Then I slipped my shoes back on and Riley beeped her horn letting me know she was here.

"By Jonah" I yelled upstairs.

I didn't get a reply so I just walked outside. I through my bag in the back of Riley's car then got in the passenger seat.

"I hate everything" I said

"What happened" Riley asked

"I don't know. Life just sucks" I sighed
