Chapter 9

We pulled up to the ice cream shop and got out of the car. Skylynn gripped onto Nash's hand and we walked into the ice cream shop.

"What do you want sky" nashs asked Skylynn

"Vanilla with rainbow sprinkles please" she asked nicely

"Cone or no cone" Nash asked again

"Ummmmm no cone" she thought for awhile before answering

Hearing and watching them talk back and forth was so cute.

Nash ordered for him and Skylynn and then I ordered mine.

I went in my bag to get some money but Nash already paid

"I can pay for mine" I said

"I got it" Nash said smiling.

I smiled a bit "well thank you" 

"You're very welcome" Nash said grabbing my ice cream and handing it to me.

We sat down at a small booth in the back corner.

Skylynn sat there eating her ice cream not saying a word.

"So" Nash said taking a bite of his ice cream

"So" I responded

"Did you talk to your brother" he asked

"Ugh yeah I did" I said quietly thinking about what Jonah said about dad

"And?" Nash added

"And we're good" I said looking up faking a smile which Nash could tell was fake.

"You okay" he asked

I nodded and continued to eat my ice cream. We continued to talk for awhile. Once we were done we left the ice cream shop and Nash took me home.

We pulled into my driveway and me and Nash got out of the car.

"Well thank you for the ice cream" I smiled

"Anything for you" he smiled back.

We starred into each other's eyes and Nash gave me that look that makes me fall harder and harder.

He leant in and pecked my lips gently

"Goodnight Alex" he said quietly as he pulled away

"Goodnight" I said, turning around walking up my driveway

I walked into the house kicked my shoes off and ran upstairs

I took my contacts out undressed and jumped in the shower.

I washed up and shaved. Once I was all clean I shot the shower off, dried off, got dressed and put my glasses on.

I jumped into bed and scrolled through my phone for awhile. While scrolling a text from Nash popped up

Nash: thank you for an amazing day goodnight 😘

I locked my phone and sighed. I guess he doesn't understand what I mean by no relationship.

I tried falling asleep but I couldn't. All I could think about was Nash and everything that happened today. I can't get attached to him, so I'm just gonna distance myself

"Ugh this is why I don't do relationships they're to confusing " I said to myself

Eventually I drifted off to sleep.

Next morning

I woke up to the annoying beep of my alarm. I hit the off button and climbed out of bed.
