She couldn't believe what she was reading! Perhaps she already guessed that he's searching for a medicine but she never guessed that he'd be searching for the one that stops any chemical substances inside the body from destroying the living cells. The same medicine her grandmother needs.

"Is there anything wrong?" The guy next to Megan, whom she doesn't remeber his name, asked after seeing her horrified face.

Megan even noticed she was covered in sweat. Her heart was beating happily  -or so she hoped- and hard.

"No." She shouted at the guy with raised eyebrows. He ignored her anyway.

Why would he search for that specific medicine? Would he be able to find it? Would he help her if she asked him? Or would he kill her because she knew what he was trying to hide? Megan is not afraid but she isn't satisfied. She wished she never got to know what she has just known!!

Megan waited for hours till the end of their work day. God knows how much worries and fears the air was filled with.

Without clearing her throat or doing any of that dumb things, she just stood close to him while he was gathering his papers and stuff. He glared at her from time to time but she didn't respond at all, neither positively nor negatively.

"Look!" She started. "That medicine you are looking for is belived to be nonexistent !!"

He just looked at her like she was an annoying child. He always did that and she always hated it. She hated he made her feel small.

"My grandmother, she suffers from that disease. The substance just continues to kill her living cells and the doctors said the meicines she's taking aren't effective. She needs what you are looking for." She explained defiantly without any sympathy in her tone because no matter what, she never wanted to seem pathetic.

"Do you think I'm going to fall for this, kid?" He laughed loudly at her angry face. Kid? He seemed to belive she is a child ?!

"You think I'm making this up?"

"What part of my words you didn't understand?" He shook his head laughing.

"Listen!"She snapped back. "We can help each other! We can work on this together and you are going to use it for whatever you want and I'm going to give it to my grandmother. That's it! Then we aren't going to know each other ever again."

"Your grandmother again?" He laughed. "Listen to me, Miss Foster. You want to get into this because you knew the whole thing ever since the guys have broken into the comapny and just to let you know, I'm not going to recieve any money so you aren't going to recieve anything either, in case you work with me. To let you know that things are even worse, I'm doing this actually instead of giving them money. So, there's a deadline and they are not going to have mercy on me. Get yourself out of this. You aren't going to work with bank robbers and be supportive of each other then get your share happily. No, you are going to deal with men who are much more dangerous. You think they are just seeking money, don't you? They are not, Miss Foster. They are seeking taking over the whole world. It is bigger than you and me." He started to break down a little. "You think I got myself into all of this voluntarily? I swear to god I didn't."

"I don't understand. Are these armed men realted to the medicine you are looking for?"

"Don't play dumb." He raised his index finger at her but she didn't mind his rudeness.

"I'm not." She said looking deeply in his eyes. They were sparkling but a shade of sadness obscured their spark. She could feel it through the eyes when a person isn't happy and this pair of brown ones are deprivedof happiness for ages.

"They want that medicine." He gave up to her. "There's a deadline. I have to find it and they are not even going to sell it to the whole world. They are going to use it in a dirty and selfish plan. They want to blackmail the authorities of the whole world. Something as important as that medicine can change the whole world overnight if it fell in their hands and I can help nothing." His voice wasn't strict anymore.

He was actually  pouring his feelings out like a child. She didn't know what to say. She was as much sad as surprised. She didn't even want to comfort him because Megan could understand him easily.

He didn't want to look weak in front of anyone. It was something in common between them. She was the perfect one to understand him.
