So my cat died.
I feel like shit right now. I don't know why such a angelic animal would be taken from me. I know it sounds stupid to be so upset over an animal, but she was one of my best friends. The world is a harsh place, but at least now she's in a much better and happier place.

Update: it's been exactly a year since my cat died :(

Ryan and I run to the house, still howling. When we reach the house, everyone's already outside looking alarmed. They spot us, and stare in confusion.

"What?" Isabella asks, coming by my side. "What happened?" She asks. Dylan comes over to me, his eyes wide with concern. I open back up the mate link.

My old pack. They're here! I anxiously move around, and Dylan's face morphs into shock. "They're here. Alert the other packs." Dylan orders, and Tyler rushes off.

I pace around, my wolf of edge. They came early. We should've been more prepared. Who knows how many fighters they brought. I fear the fighters that they did bring. They'd be people that I knew. These are people that I grew up with, and loved. But they didn't love you. My wolf whispers.

I catch a whiff of more unwelcomed scents, moving closer and closer. "Get Max out of here!" Dylan shouts, but nobody moves to take him. The smell of the unwelcomed company has us all alert. I'll take him. I tell Dylan through the mate link.

Dylan and I stare at each other, before he nods. "Max, go to Alex." Dylan commands, his wolf starting to speak for him. "Be safe." Dylan whispers to me, wrapping his arms around my neck.
I love you. I say, before running in the opposite direction of the other wolves.

I hear the sound of bones cracking, and that's when I know they've shifted. I hear wolves following me, and I turn to see Isabella and Charlotte. Isabella and Charlotte are staying with you. Dylan says through the link.

Okay. Keep me updated. I say, before turning my attention back to running.

Where do we go? Where can I find a safe place?  "Alex." Max says, his voice quivering. I halt, the site in front of me terrifying me. In front of us, four large wolves start to stalk towards us. This isn't good.

I snarl at them, trying to back them away. They stop, and tilt their heads at me. They seem to try to make themselves look less aggressive. I recognize one of the wolves. Sean. I relax slightly, and for the first time I'm actually relieved to see Sean. We walk towards them. "They're here." Max tells them.

I hear a growling sound come from Sean, but I see the dark gray wolf nudge him. Sean stops, but I start to growl when I smell the scent getting closer.

I start trotting again, Isabella and Charlotte right by my side. The guys catch up to me, trailing slightly behind us. I smell the unwelcomed company getting even closer. But what's strange is how the scent is all around us. On each side it seems to be getting closer and closer. They're closing us in.

I take off at a sprint, surprising Max who grips onto my coat tightly. Isabella and the others race to keep up with me. I sprint faster and faster, trying to avoid a confrontation.

I feel something slam into my side, and it sends Max and I both flying. I flip myself just in time to avoid crushing Max, who has a death grip on my coat. I stand up, to see three wolves closing in on me. I look for help, but everyone is occupied fighting a wolf.

I growl at them, but they keep stepping towards me. "Alex what do we do?" Max cries, sniffling. They made Max scared. That means they're hurting him. And if they're hurting him, they're hurting me. I charge at them, ignoring Max's small scream.
