MINDY'S POV

A man, probably in his forties, hops out of his car and walks over to us. His blue eyes are bright but full of misery as if something tragic happened to him. A beard covers his chin with hints of grey hairs here and there.

He stops when he reaches us and he throws a gun over his shoulder. "You said something about mutations?" the man asks, who I assume is Chris, and looks directly at Lydia.

"Yes, inside that cave," she replies pointing behind her to the opened area that was once one large wall. "There are giant animals inside there and I feel that they are using serums that the Dred Doctors used."

"Who are the Dred Doctors?" I ask looking from her to the grown man.

Chris speaks first. "They were three doctors who came up with different ways to make supernatural creatures. They were out to make a success but ended up making failures. To tell if they were failing, they would bleed out mercury."

I feel myself gag as I cover my mouth, though I know nothing is going to escape from my throat. I take deep breaths and shut my eyes before responding. "So could they create giant mutant rats and alligators?"

"Yes, I'm quite sure they could create them but we haven't seen any activity from the Dred Doctors in a long time, so I don't think they actually made the serum," he says grabbing a flashlight from around his waist.

We begin walking into the tunnel again but more carefully this time. Chris said that Malia and her men could be more aware of our presence so it's better to be cautious.

"So," Chris starts, "why is fireboy here?" He tilts his head in Parrish's direction. Fireboy?

"Stiles thought it would be a good idea to bring him, incase we need help getting Julie and Scott out and also I think he'll be a good bodyguard for us," Lydia replies looking straight ahead.

"Are you a werewolf, too?" I ask surprised. Why are there so many werewolves in Beacon Hills?

He shakes his head no. "I'm a hell hound," he says and I see his eyes go from green to a bright mixture of oranges, yellows, and reds.

I don't say anything after that. I really don't even want to be in here, but we need to save Julie and Scott. Whatever Malia wants with them, must be very important.

The narrow hallways look the same since we were last down here. I'm surprised, since it did take us a while to get to Beacon Hills and back. I was hoping there would be less cobwebs and the ground wouldn't be filling with water... It's filling with water!

Chris looks down at his feet to see the water is hitting right above his ankles. He looks back at us with his blue eyes and immediately says, "Run!"

We dash down the hall and turn several corners trying to find a place to escape. We try every single door we see but discover that they are all bolted shut.

"They knew we were coming!" Parrish yells over the roars of the water.

"You think!" Lydia yells back at him.

"There's no time for fighting!" Chris says looking back at them. "We just need to find a door that will open!"

Parrish and Lydia start bickering like siblings while Chris watches like a disappointed father. I, on the other hand, start walking further down rhe corridor. The water hits my waist causing my movements to slow. At the end of the hall I see a large door with a handle resting just above the water. I push it down to find that it won't budge. I look at it with defeat when a light goes on in my head. I grab the handle and pull it up causing the door to open. Excitement runs through me, knowing that I have accomplished something.

I turn around to see them all standing in the same positions. The only difference is, is that the water is now halfway up their torsos.

"Guys!" I yell causing the sound of water to only be heard. "Come on I found a room!"

They walk as fast as they can to the door as the water rushes quickly. I look into the room to see that it is filling up from the water that is in the hallway. Chris is the first one to the door and he pushes me inside. Lydia comes next followed by Parrish. The water in the room rises quickly causing it to approach our necks. The two men pull the door against the force of the water flow. Lydia and I try to help but it is no use since we are much shorter than them. The water covers Lydia and I causing us to take a deep breath and look at Parrish and Chris struggle with the door. The water rises faster and faster until it covers them as well causing the entire room to be filled.

I struggle to hold my breath as I watch them shut the door. The door knob is turned up causing a seal to form between the door and the outside. I look at Lydia who seems to be comfortable as well as Parrish and Chris but I cannot hold my breath any longer. I gasp causing water to fill my lungs. I grab onto my throat as if thinking I could get the water out but I can't. Soon black spots fill my sight and eventually everything around me.

JULIE'S POV

My entire body is sore as I try to push myself off of the floor. I look around through blurred vision and see a small figure, which I assume is Malia, and many other figures surrounding her. I hear a noise in another direction and see that it is Scott. His eyes are panicked and looks at me with fear.

I go to open my mouth to speak but I feel a heel dig itself into my stomach knocking the wind out of me. I cough several times looking up at Malia's frustrated face that is covered by strans of her hair.

"Are you going to corporate this time?" She yells at me. I lean my legs into my stomach trying to sooth the pain. "If you don't I won't harm you anymore... I will torture Scott."

I look over at Scott when Malia nods at a man in front of him. He knees him in the stomach causing him to topple over. I take deep breaths before nodding yes. Malia grabs a large needle from a brief case which is filled with blue liquid and pushes my head to the side, injecting it into my blood stream. I feel the tip of the needle move under my skin and my blood starts to boil.

She throws me down onto the ground and grabs another needle from a different brief case. This one holds a clear liquid and instead of her injecting it into me she injects it into Scott. I try to crawl over to him but I can't push myself off of the floor.

My cheek lays against the floor as I hear his screams fill the room. I open my mouth to tell her to stop but only a faint puff of air escapes. Then Malia, with the same needle, removes blood from his body. I watch as she examines the blood, flicking the glass surrounding it mixing the liquid causing it to change into a lighter red. It glows as if it is flames in a fireplace.

Without thinking she injects his blood into me. She must be insane. I then feel my eyes burn as well as my throat causing me to scratch at the skin, trying to get rid of the pain, but I can't. It continues to grow and move throughout my body causing me to scream. My hands press themselves onto the floor and I see that claws, longer than usual, extend from my fingers. I feel my body contort itself into a different form. I hear my bones crack and my eyes sizzle as a low growl emerges from within my throat.

Lifting my body off of the ground I stand up tall, my head almost hitting the ceiling. I look down to see Scott who is petrified by the sight of me and Malia who is proud of what she created. I seem to loose control over my actions when Malia calls my name.

"Tear down those silver bars," she commands pointing to the row of bars caging us into this small room. Without hesitation I move toward them, wrapping my claws around the silver and I pull. The shining metal never burns me as I hold it and I eventually throw it over my shoulder. Malia smiles at me, her blue eyes shine and her white canines sparkle. "This is absolutely perfect," she says lifting her hand in the air, telling the men to leave.

The large men let go of Scott causing him to stumble forward. I go to steady him but Malia tells me No. My body is still and stiff like a statue as I stare down the hall. It is no longer pitch-black. I can now see everything as clear as day. The spiders that crawl along the ceiling and the rats that squeak as they tiptoe on the dirty floors. I can see and hear things that I never could before, even in my wolf form. Whatever she has done to me makes me feel unstoppable.
